@horlacsd yes, or something more modern. I haven't toyed with the Auduino in many months... a WP-20 is the next diy project.. both need cv control.. :)
@NiekProductions Call it Lo-Fi and smile! I used a 2009 Duemilanove. Follow the links under "more info" to the google groups, join the mailinglist and check out the newest incarnations of the Auduino there, scales, creative enclosures etc. Check "Dave's Auduino" (google it) and read trough his blog carefully, It is well documented and very recent and fresh and has a lot of useful links.
@RedDubplate I haven't bothered to try as I have some real synths, but you could follow the links I provided and see what kind of modifications are out there...
No, it's super easy, tutorials and instructions are all around. The Arduino is a great platform to start on... just do it, it costs next to nothing. :)
Thanks, I'm liking your Dr.Boogie - gonna build it soon!
I am really interested in making the Arduino a controller for an analog guitar effect pedal. It has 6 digital and 6 analog I/O's. So basically you'd have multiple switches and LFO's you could synch and control ...or something more I haven't even imagined yet.
Yeah, I can program and upload different scales into it via USB... stepped, smooth, ionian, dorian, etc... and then run it with a 9V battery.
I am (as we speak) looking for a solution for a ribbon controller. I might just buy one or build one from scratch.. I just have to do some more research... The pitch knob will be replaced with a ribbon when I find a solution.
Who knows, I might even find a replacement solution for the Roland d-beam! :D

It looks eazy programing, but typing it looks like it will take forever!, I use basic stamp would it be possible to do this on that?

copy-paste=done.

basic stamp has the same programing as arduino?

Very cool Jesse! Usually I'm not into these homebrew synths but this is very musical and nice sounding! Really good oscillator, the filter is nice.
My favourite part is the stepped pitch, which really gives it is musicality.
It'd be cool to have an A/B switch between the potentiometer and a ribbon controller to give both stepped and smooth pitch.
