@SuperStormtroop wrong 4.5 mm bbs (1.77 cal same thing) are made of copper or nickle plated steel not lead and copper the fps on this gun is 541 ft/sec give or take a few fps i have shot 800-900 fps shots into water at 1.5 ft it wont do a thing to the bb with my gun when it hits the water this gun with a lower fps wont even be close to doing that you would need to fire the bb over 1400fps and it might not break up even then (mythbusters mess up any myth on guns,cars,explosions,physics)

@SuperStormtroop water also becomes more resistant to a body moving through it the more the velocity of the body increases, at the velocity the Barrett's projectile is moving at, the water is basically like a solid object, the projectile deforms so much that is breaks up into its constituent pieces, but your idea though is correct, it is just not applicable in this case.

I am sure there are bad experiences with everything. I have worked with Ray on a few projects. He customized my blackbird ( I have a video posted ) with a 23" barrel and full auto and it was awesome from The get go. He then modified a steel storm for me and is now working on a prototype stock for me. He is tops with me and I am sure he would assist if needed.
A warning to potential purchasers of a Blackbird. I bought one from Ray @ drozdmaxdot com and had nothing but problems. Ray is not only a jerk but hes a liar and a theif. He sent me a brand new $800.00 Blackbird including accesorys and the thing was DOA out of the box. I found the hopper jammed with an extra spring that obviously Ray lost and replaced when he had the gun appart. He did a horrible job of seting up the gun and I wish he had not even touched it. Be warned Ray is not a nice guy.

Drozd has 30 BBs per magazine,spare mag is ~$45. Strafer's a blower gun; the Drozd is better than 'any' blower gun. Drozd Blkbrd is 200rnd with 200res, but alot of people are complaining about the BlkBrd and feed systm. There's a new gun from Liberty Airguns called the Ajax, looks like the best of everything; search on youtube for the Ajax automatic airgun,it uses a high capacity magazine with full-auto and variable ROF to 1200+. Drozds require mods to the electncs for full-auto.

The new Drozd MP-661K is not limited to 6-round bursts like the older models. While cool, it's only a quarter as cool as a real 'Strafer', (though it's only a quarter the price too).
the original drozd is 30 BBs per clip, the new blackbird is like 200 or 400 if i recall correctly. as to modifying the drozd for full auto you can get the info to do that on the drozd forums at bbboy i think
A stock Drozd is ~400fps nominal when shooting steel BBs (possibly a bit hotter for the first couple of shots, slower in bursts); these weigh about 0.33 grams each. That's roughly 2.5 joules. If you use the heavier lead BBs and do some mods, you might get ~4 joules. In order to get 7.5 joules from a Drozd shooting steel, you need an fps of about 700fps, which is clearly beyond the capability of a stock Drozd. But, that's basically irrelevant as the Drozd is made for pure fun(!), not power.

got mine from pyramidair a long time ago... baikal makes them. i dyed mine black and added a red dot scope and modded it to accept a paintball tank and fire fully auto (there is a diagram floating around last i checked on hwo to diy, u can buy the parts from radioshack and just needs some basic soldering)

I have this gun. You can get the gun at airgundepot for $209. To make it fire 1200 rpm like in this video, you have to buy a mod chip for it. I bought mine on ebay for $35. So overall, you pay under $300
I have one and it isnt that loud but you shouldnt shoot it around people as it does sound a little like a real firearm... And the cheapest mod boards are on Ebay... Its a really nice toy :D:D:D
my friend has a Drozd, and even though it may not seem like it, it one hell of a hunting gona at short to medium range, you can rip squirrel, birds, even raccoons to bits quicly and easily.

Not sure how much exactly. I just have the gun and haven't modded it yet. I do have a 1200 RPM upgraded circuit board, but it's not been installed yet. haha....the fun thing about this gun is that you can modify it with longer barrels, adj. solenoid, full auto circuit board mod, bulk adapter for HPA tanks for increased power, etc. These guns can be made to be pretty freakin' mean for a "BB gun". :)
minus the recoil ..I heard its best to stick with the lead rounds with these models ..like Gamo rounds as opposed to the steel BBs which can damage the rifling and hamper the accuracy.
actually you cant use lead rounds as how would it feed??? bbs are the only way to go besides....do you want a bunch of lead powder going in your face and in yo backyard??
Ah ..their round shaped BBs made of lead(like lead shot) ..not conventional shaped pellets .. and yes their recommended by the manufacturer of the drozd yo;)
I used to have one of those Larc M-19 things and ran it off a compressor or automotive freon and that was pretty cool ..it utilized an extremely simple pressure and siphon design and wasn't very accurate ..it shot more of a spray-cone type pattern lol,but had a ridiculous output volume of approx 3000rpm. But I like the Drozd as its capacity ,accuracy and feel are more akin to a real sub.
For full auto you need to mod your circuit board, and upping the fps is a definite yes. Longer barrels would be a plus, HPA and much more. The MP661k "Drozd" is a must have.

my friend has a Drozd, and even though it may not seem like it, it one hell of a hunting gona at short to medium range, you can rip squirrel, birds, even raccoons to bits quicly and easily.

I don't know if the BB's penetrated the pool cover or not. The vid isn't of me or my Drozd........just a random vid of a Drozd gun owner.
I tried to view your vid by searching "FX REVO / FX AIRGUN", but it's not coming up. It'll probably take a bit for YouTube to allow it to be viewable. I'll check it out when it's available.

Not sure how much exactly. I just have the gun and haven't modded it yet. I do have a 1200 RPM upgraded circuit board, but it's not been installed yet. I haven't even taken the gun out of the box yet. YouTube won't let me post a URL which is stupid, but oh well. haha....the fun thing about this gun is that you can modify it with longer barrels, adj. solenoid, full auto circuit board mod, bulk adapter for HPA tanks for increased power, etc. These guns can be made to be pretty freakin' mean for a "BB gun". :)

minus the recoil ..I heard its best to stick with the lead rounds with these models ..like Gamo rounds as opposed to the steel BBs which can damage the rifling and hamper the accuracy.

actually you cant use lead rounds as how would it feed??? bbs are the only way to go besides....do you want a bunch of lead powder going in your face and in yo backyard??

Ah ..their round shaped BBs made of lead(like lead shot) ..not conventional shaped pellets .. and yes their recommended by the manufacturer of the drozd yo;)

I do think they have copper coated lead bbs on their website....I really hate to use lead....copper isnt as bad as steel at least

I used to have one of those Larc M-19 things and ran it off a compressor or automotive freon and that was pretty cool ..it utilized an extremely simple pressure and siphon design and wasn't very accurate ..it shot more of a spray-cone type pattern lol,but had a ridiculous output volume of approx 3000rpm. But I like the Drozd as its capacity ,accuracy and feel are more akin to a real sub.

For full auto you need to mod your circuit board, and upping the fps is a definite yes. Longer barrels would be a plus, HPA and much more. The MP661k "Drozd" is a must have.
