How do I get the power to come on in the GPS. I plugged it on to the car and the power is not coming on. Do I have to wait to charge it?

Thanks to your review, I just picked up a Roadmate 2000 this weekend. Definitely love it so far. Prior to this I was using a Garmin eMap during mobile navigation for the last 5 years.
