I wouldn't say it's overpriced. Just because it has a basswood body? Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo basses are made from basswood; any type wood has lumber of good quality and lumber of poor quality. Because it's made in Canada? Canada isn't Mexico, nor is it China, Korea, or Indonesia; it will be made with just about the same attention and care as a bass produced in the US, or at the very least Japan, which produces very nice instruments. Definitely not overpriced.
