  • I wonder if they do this in the timber frame throw ups that spring up in days.

  • @tommmmmer

Not sure but I know a few people with relatively new houses that have had to re-do their shower area because of water ruining the plasterboard behind the tiles!

  • @ultimatehandyman

they literally don't make em as t hey used to :)

  • U da man

  • @FrankaDith

    Thanks LOL

  • Thanks for these excellent videos, well made, well presented easy to understand, great advice. I will be able to tackle my bathroom next month with the knowledge I have gained from this series of videos. Keep up the good work. One question about tanking, can the tanking solution be applied with a roller?

  • @sam020885

No, I don't think it can.

I have put what is left of the kit in my lockup now, but I am sure it said that you had to apply it by brush.

    Thanks for the comment ;-)

  • @sam020885 Yes you can use a roller to apply it, the tile pros at the construction company I work at are always using a roller and they apply 3 coats

  • @SuperAwesomeBalls Thanks for that.......

  • I've not seen this done before, excellent video

  • @PetesCubingSolutions

It's worth doing it to prevent any future problems, but it adds a couple of days to the job as it has to dry etc.

    Thanks for the comment ;-)

  • Different worlds, different words, and different products. I had no idea what 'tanking' is, but it turns out to be very similar to what we do on our planet ;-)

Tanking tape is called 'kimband' in Dutch.

    Thanks for the comment ;-)
