Man! Some first boss that was! First bosses are supposed to be pretty easy. You know challenging the first time but once you play it again it's really an easy boss. But I don't think that the Twilight P. first boss is going to be easy until like...10 plays through the game! I can only begin to imagine what the other bosses must be like...

I like Skyward Sword a lot, and the cutsecenes are very cool but I think TP is much more depressing and you have the feeling like without you, the world is gonna end. The only thing I really hate about TP is, that it is far too easy, the bosses deal too less damage and even with only 3 hearts it is not as hard as SS. I also think the world of SS is too unconnected, if you know what i mean, (sorry for the bad english, I'm from Austria)

I still haven't had the chance to play through my copy of Skyward Sword, and it's killing me how busy I've been. TP is my favorite at the moment, but I'm just starting the third dungeon of SS and it's making a strong challenge for that title.

@FFYears i agree the story brought me to tears. but the sidequest were too easy for me, twilight princes hid the heart pieces much better than skyward sword. twilight princes was a much more vast game. but i loved skyward swords art style and bosses and motion controls and dungeons and silent realms were really fun. but for some reason i like twilight princess much better, idk it gave me a much better impression then skyward sword.

@FFYears Lol let him have an opinion. I've beaten Skyward Sword, and now playing through Hero Mode. Although it's an amazing game and an experience I'm not going to forget anytime soon, in comparison to Wind Waker, WW is still the best one in my opinion. I'm probably the only oddball that thinks WW is the best.

Honestly though, I think the best Zelda has yet to come. I just hope they use SS's graphic style on the Wii-U. That'd be gorgeous <3

I found the story in skyward sword to have more ups and down, twilight princess was consistently darker and intentionally had a different feel, just my opinion. I also found skyward sword less challenging (bar the boss fights) than twilight princess, which I had to use a walk-through for some bits of.

I think since 1998, I've beaten ocarina of time like 21 or 22 times, and since 2007 I've beaten Twilight like 6 or 7 times...and that game became my favorite Zelda game. I would like to say that I like too much Ocarina of time, but I fell in love with twilight ;)

The thing that makes LoZ stand out for me is the sheer amount of creative genius they put into the game. The composers created a theme song that became a monument to video game greatness, the writers created an epic tale of heroism and mythology, and the artists created a beautiful world with architecture and aesthetics that are both familiar and alien at the same time (look at the box art and you'll see). That's why I'll always treasure these games: because they have the soul that others dont.

reading the top comments, I definitely agree. I am an avid final fantasy fan and, therefore, I know what it's like to fall in love with the graphics of a game.. but legend of zelda just melts my heart. Amazing storyline that is just so captivating, music that links the heart of the player to the game itself.. it's just unbelievably good. With this, you don't even need graphics.. plus, the graphics aren't bad at all. I know my description of the game was kinda cheesy, but I just love this game.

True gamers play for gameplay. If we wanted good graphics we'd go watch AVATAR. Games started with gameplay, Zelda is one of the few franchises that has originality down to its core. Rather than repackage the game again and again they create something all new. Look at Skyward Sword receiving 10/10 across the board!

@EntaruThandin01 Better graphics allow for less shortcomings in gameplay, a lot more freedom in artistic direction and it keeps up with the more complicated controls of nowadays. It's the reason why you can and WILL notice the difference between temples in Skyward Sword and temples in Link's Awakening, despite both letting you do almost the exact same things in gameplay--wise. Think about this: The room with the stairs surrounded by bombs in Ocarina of Time was possible thanks to 3D environment.
