global warming can be freezing or melting......and bottles, plate, etc. are made of oil, which pollutes the air, so recycling allows the earth not to have to take 1 million years to recycle a bottle, and oil in factories burns to pollute our air, recycling allows minumum work of those factories which = less pollution!

@goog2k I did take a look at those UAH satellite records, and what I discovered is that events like Mt Pinatubo can actually cool the earth. What I take from this is that we should stop worrying about particulate pollution because it actually raises the albedo level and is helping to prevent global warming.
@goog2k Here is the bottom line, we have been fighting the wrong fight. We can't conserve enough or clean our emissions enough to stop the train wreck that's coming. Sure we can all drive small cars, but there is not much you can do about trains, planes, and ships.
There is one real hope and it is nuclear, sure it has problems but it doesn't produce CO2, or NO. I see a nuclear merchant marine and a massive switch to electric cars as the only thing that might work. Face it were doomed.
We can get off most fossil fuels within 20-30 years if we put a concerted effort into solar, wind, fuel cells, electric cars, algae biofuels, and NEW nuclear technologies.
We also need a new national smart power grid to move electricity.
We can use a carbon tax on fossil fuels to pay for it, and it'll provide millions of JOBS that can't be exported.
Europe & China are ALREADY doing this and America will lose out in future green energy technologies, if we don't.

We could always wrap the atmosphere in aluminum foil to keep the sun's rays from warming up the planet.

One major volcanic eruption emits more "pollution" in a few hours than we ever could in the same amount of time. So are we going to cap them off next?

3. Did you even TAKE the TIME to CONSIDER that earths "rising" temperature might be linked to the planets orbit around the sun? The planet doesn't go in a perfect orbit around the sun after all. it's more of an elliptical shape if you were to chart down it's path. Which also means that it can be a lot closer than it usually is.
Take time to research before you open your trap. It's not likely that man has ANYTHING to do with earths ever changing climate.

Well, recycling saves a lot of energy, and trees.
Energy is usually made by burning something, CO2 is the major byproduct, and more CO2 in our atmosphere causes it to hold more heat from the sun.
Trees absorb CO2 and make it into oxygen and more trees.
There are lots more details but that is the essence.

global warming can be freezing or melting......and bottles, plate, etc. are made of oil, which pollutes the air, so recycling allows the earth not to have to take 1 million years to recycle a bottle, and oil in factories burns to pollute our air, recycling allows minumum work of those factories which = less pollution!

@goog2k I did take a look at those UAH satellite records, and what I discovered is that events like Mt Pinatubo can actually cool the earth. What I take from this is that we should stop worrying about particulate pollution because it actually raises the albedo level and is helping to prevent global warming.

@goog2k Here is the bottom line, we have been fighting the wrong fight. We can't conserve enough or clean our emissions enough to stop the train wreck that's coming. Sure we can all drive small cars, but there is not much you can do about trains, planes, and ships.
There is one real hope and it is nuclear, sure it has problems but it doesn't produce CO2, or NO. I see a nuclear merchant marine and a massive switch to electric cars as the only thing that might work. Face it were doomed.

We can get off most fossil fuels within 20-30 years if we put a concerted effort into solar, wind, fuel cells, electric cars, algae biofuels, and NEW nuclear technologies.
We also need a new national smart power grid to move electricity.
We can use a carbon tax on fossil fuels to pay for it, and it'll provide millions of JOBS that can't be exported.
Europe & China are ALREADY doing this and America will lose out in future green energy technologies, if we don't.
We owe it to our grandchildren.

We could always wrap the atmosphere in aluminum foil to keep the sun's rays from warming up the planet.
Good luck with that one, or with capping off those volcanoes for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I believe in being good stewards and cleaning up our act.

Just in case you weren't aware the sun goes threw cycles of heating and cooling. It just happens to be in a heating cycle right now when the earth and all the other planets are heating up. Just so you know, we have very little impact on the overall temperature of this planet. The more CO2 we emit, the more plants take in and the faster they grow. One major volcanic eruption emits more "pollution" in a few hours than we ever could in the same amount of time. So are we going to cap them off next?

I'd still like someone to tell me how what we do here on earth affects the other planets. I find it very interesting how all the planets are warming at the same rate. What could be causing that? Oh yeah, maybe, just maybe....THE SUN! Do you think that might be it? How come nobody ever takes into account, the very heat source for our planet as the cause of "global warming" or maybe we should call it "solar warming" since the sun is the cause and the whole solar system is involved.
