@zizzlegrr I'm not really sure why that happened. The drivers have worked for many other people. Try completely uninstalling the drivers and the Easycap device itself. Then reinstall the device in a different USB slot., reinstall the drivers, and see if that works. Also, the Easycap is known to blue screen if you unplug it while the computer is still accessing it.

I have a windows 7 toshiba home premium version A505 500gb and 4 gb of ram, i got my easycap from amizon, im trying to swich the drivers (that i know are from the fake version of easycap) to syntek but the capturecard keeps installing a SMI Grabber Device and its drivers which suck and are apart of the fake chip inside the device. Iv been all over the internet installing syntek 1150 to 1160 in different ways but nothing works, and syntek doesnt show up on any of the recording programs i have...

Your video was a great help to me in providing a link for the Windows 7 driver. I had already installed the drivers from the cd and in Device Manager it was called vGrabber. I clicked the uninstall button and tried to install the Win 7 driver but it just reinstalled the same driver. I had to click the check box to delete the old driver, then it successfully installed the new driver. It is now called STK1160 ATV BDA. Thanks a bunch!

hay im trying to use the videoviewer program you included with the drivers download and it only seems to record video not audio :(

under the 'devices' tab i can see the 'USB EMP audio device' (aka easycap) however when i click on it it doesnt display a little 'tick' next to the device and wont record audio. I can record audio with my web cam mic built in to the lap top but pls help me!?

ps i have also tried the 'record audio' option and it produces the same results :(

@wavewalker99 The Easycap Drivers that he gives you in the description, put that on your desktop and go into device manager. Go to the easycap, then click update drivers. Click the SECOND choice to find it manually. Locate the file you had on your desktop and install it from there.

So this was working fine on my Windows 7 32 bit comp literally like a week ago, but now when I plug the device in and try to open a video capturing software the program freezes the second I set it to record with my easycap. The only program that DOESN'T freeze is Webcammax, but there's just a blank black screen when I open it on webcammax. I've tried to uninstall the drivers but the device isn't anywhere in my device manager.
