well you know why i prefer this version than the original one, it is because paul sings it with more heart, at that time, he was still in sadness by the passing of his wife linda. when you hear him sing, you can feel the pain inside. he was not only singing the tune, he was CRYING the tune out of his heart.

It's not as good as Ricky's rendition by a long shot but it's still great in it's own right Love to hear other renditions of my early favorites as long as they give it something worth the effort which this certainly does and also love to hear another version fo what are to me classics from my youth Thanks for the posting

Man, what a great performance. I'm soooo not a PETA guy, but I would've loved to be in that crowed that night. Ricky Nelson's version was great, but Paul shred this song with David Gilmore.
