Thanks for the vid.. make a few ppl out there see thise trucks diff.. I got 03 with 4.7 H.O. airaid, exhaust, 3 in body, nittos.. its my third dak and I loved them all. Had a 94 5.2L ans a 98 3.9L all 4x4..

I would love to do this w/ my 4.7 02 I got more overall power than a stock 5.2 but they got a better low end so Id prob do a lil worse :/ MOPAR OR NO CAR all dakotas crap on anyother midsize/compact and if ya do em up right any f150 or silverado

1 guy before me had a auto 03 dakota with a 4.7l HO with a regular cab and weighs dangling off the front he did 285ft. right along side of the hemi's.

@cecildausterdauster 4.7L is fine if all you want is a stock truck to fart around in, if you want real power you stick with the 5.2 or 5.9L and build em to the tune of 500hp N/A, pretty tough to do that to the 4.7L without boost, not enough aftermarket power parts available for them....

actually there was a 5.2l auto with a reg cab and weights hanging off the front. it did a full pull in this class.

i'm not sure if my 3.7L dakota could pull that far. it seems pretty gutless to me. The Low range doesnt seem very low either.

i had a 97 with that 3.9, a guy with a v6 chevy s 10couldn't pull a concrete mini wagon with a yard of concrete. Was really quite funny.

he really got pissed when i drove buy and told him to buy a dodge next time.

I have a nearly identical truck, don't underestimate that 3.9L V6 (239ci) its a powerful engine and very reliable.

I have two Dakotas, one is a 1999 4x4 V6 Magnum, almost identical to yours, the other is a 1996 2wd V6 Magnum and I use it to race sometimes, its the fastest little thing out there

motor internally is stock. ive got good plugs wires coil good cold air intake, exhaust, no cat, superchips programmer, and the factory 3.92 gears.
