Scientology not only tolerates lying but actually presents formal training in the subject:

An Oscar-winning Canadian filmmaker has quit the Church of Scientology after 35 years over the organization's tolerance of "gay-bashing," its lying over the use of "disconnection," and its decision to release the intimate confessions of some of its former members who turned into critics.

Paul Haggis, who won an Oscar for the movie Crash, made his decision to leave the controversial religion in August.

Consider this: If we really "hated" scientologists and wanted them to go to hell, we would not continue to get them OUT of scientology.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. So, who/what checks Miscavige's power?

In January 2008, Jenna Miscavige Hill, niece of David Miscavige, spoke out about the Disconnection policy's effect on her family. She revealed that, once her parents left and she remained in the group, she had been forbidden to answer the telephone in case she spoke to them and that her parents only restored occasional access to her by threatening legal action.

Disconnection is NOT a personal choice, contrary to what Scientology says.
