You know, It was Nintendo's own fault. Squeenix wanted that the "Nintendo Ultra" would be a CD based Game Console like the PSX. But Nintendo's current president at that time was too stubborn and stayed at the Cardridge based idea. But Because FF64 would be too massive for a Cardridge, they decided to "betray" or leave Nintendo and made FF7 for the PSX. Since then the company is more focused on PS systems. But now Squeenix goes Multi-Platform! And we also have FFCC!
