I can give you that lick. It's a standard Blues lick that everyone from Hendrix through Beck has used--almost to the point of being cliche'. What's wonderful about this commercial is the amount of space there is in the music. There's almost nothing going on. Some bass(barely). A touch of rhythm guitar(barely). And, the lead instrument. Classic!!

'933415' got an unsatisfactory response from Tropicana; there's a surprise - a huge corporation non-responsive. That mystery guitar has been driving a lot of people crazy. Happened to see/hear Macy's new(ish) celebrity-laden commercial the other day and Carlos Santana's bit in the shoe department sounds nearly identical to the guitar in Tropicana. Not the tune itself, but the tone of the guitar and the expert light-fingering of the blues notes - is Carlos be responsible for an orange fetish?

I too have been looking for the awesome blues song in this commercial so I emailed Tropicana and this is exactly what I got from Consumer Relations... "We appreciate your interest in our PURE Valencia commercial. The music for that commercial was produced specifically for that ad and not by any known artist. Therefore, we're sorry to say, we're unable to find out the artist and song title for you." Man I hate that... :(

The track was put together for the ad by an English musician/producer. Sadly,the music is only just longer than the film itself to allow for a fade to suggest a full-length track. It seems to have worked!
