I found out the hard way that my city has an ordinance that if your tabs expire they can tow your vehicle. I was working out of town and had forgot to renew my tabs. They were two months past due and they towed it right out of my driveway. Cost me tabs, tow fee, and storage fee. To say the least I was pissed because they scratched my car when it was in their possession. They never paid to fix it.

there is no question this company as well as the the rest involved in getting the car towed. i wonder though what is the deal with no parking without a permit. i get that it is there to ensure parking for resident s but what about them having visitors. is there some grace period or something in place. going by the sign, technically you can get towed immediately. that shouldn't be either. commonly accepted i'm sure but still wrong.

This tow truck company is in the wrong moraly and legaly. Let's not forget the apartment complex as well. The sign says permit parking.only. Colorado is regulated by PUC public utilities commission. You have to have a PUC number on your truck. I usually charge 140 and require the signature of property management or person having vehicle towed. I treat people like humans. Also tow companies have to.drop vehicle when you come out they can charge you half the amount.

State of Michigan when I towed, I did not have to drop a vehicle if someone came out. It was driver's choice, and you could charge full price. Only reason to drop a car was to save time dragging it to the PD to drop off paperwork, and dropping it off at the lot.

Its easy to stop towing...just buy a wheel clamp and put a lawyer sticker on your car. Then rig the gas tank to the cell phone and connect the terminals. When your car is stolen by the towing company if they bypass the wheel clamp....call the cell number and the car explodes. Problem solved. Say that they destroyed the car and you will get a brand new shiny car.
