actually, you can pick up the tonemaker or something from bestbuy. its from the company that makes the portable rb drums. best buy for like 25 bucks. metal face, and it uses the same concept as the destroyer.

Okay, first of all, I am subscribing! 2nd of all, you described everything you use for recording, except your PC. Is that just a household brand like Dell/HP or is it a gaming system?

the computer is nothing special. It's an HP slimline PC I bought purely because it has a small enough case to fit in my backpack to easily carry to and from college.

That HP slimline probably won't last long though...I've had 2 and since the case is so small they overheat easily and basically die.

Mystakin, you do not get the recognition you deserve. Coming from a fellow top Rock Band player, you deserve more subscribers and you definitely deserve more respect. There are some major douche bags on YouTube. But as you can see, I don't like to be one. I would absolutely donate to you, but my family is in a bit of a rut and we are short of money.

I record the pad noises with a $10 or so mic I got from wal-mart a long time ago. And my GH:WT kit is basically right behind me while I'm showing off the recording equipment.

I duct-taped wood to my pedal so it's somewhat sturdy... I hope to get a Rock Band 2 stock kit and the Destroyer pedal over the summer, though... once I get back from vacation. My parents give me money but I never buy souvenirs, so that will help. Maybe once I've worked a little bit I can buy a GoodWoods set of pads. :O

i dont think u should spend that much money on rockband. a stock kit is fine, ocdrums fced wont get fooled again with stock drums and pedal no socks or scpecial pads, dont waste your money

I FC'd it on my kit as well. It's not about FCing stuff, it's about convenience and consistency. My kit isn't very consistent, and as many of my split cams show... my socks move off a lot and are annoying.

You want a really cheap upgrade? Buy the Rock Band Portable Drumset and then tape the pads to the old set (by taking off the first pads of course. :) ) They are only about twenty dollars and they work very well. That's what I'm using, along with a cracked pedal that I duct taped butter knives to. lol. Its funny cause the knives actually help with double kicks. Makes it much, much easier.

lol. Well I just meant, if you would rather spent little money on dependable pads then that's the way to go. But I have almost no money all the time, so I'm probably just cheap. But I most likely wouldn't buy an Ion or Goodwood's if I had the money. For me it doesn't matter what kit I'm using, just as long as I get the fc.
