It is really awesome. Did you go into the garden area? It is so beautiful. I'll eventually get around to posting some videos from last year and this year when I have more time :)
very nice video! i´m from brazil and here we have a lot of matsuri festivals!! Not only tradicional songs, but we dance some of j-pop musics for bon odori, for example raphysodi in blue os Da Pump.
The first one is I think called something like "Ni Kokoro Ondo" and it's the one that opens the dancers' hearts and invites the spirits to celebrate with them...but since Bon Odori is done every year especially for those who have died within the year, it is a mournful-seeming dance, though it's really not if you think about it. In 2009 (and only for that year) there was a special dance in place of it because it was the anniversary of something (but exactly what escapes me right now).
Use opera browser, look in a folder named cache4 it will be named "something.flv" change the extension to wmv or avi and hopefully you'll be able to burn it.
This is awesome, the one where I live is held indoors. I do TaeKwonDo, and when I first tried this I was just learning a double knife-hand block which looks like one of the hand motions here... and I thought I was the coolest kid on the block because I knew how to do it... shows how silly a 9 year old can be.
I didn't know that.. that was actually the first time i had been to one :) Nice to know they do it in the same order though.. I learned how to do most of the variations that day and from the video i took while not dancing i can refresh my memory :)
.... is that man wearing a dress??? or is that a woman? I CANT TELL

The opening song reminds me of something in pokemon, like when you walked into a haunted house on one of the DS games..

The name of the second song is "Omikoshi-ondo". Omikoshi is a type of palanquin. おみこし音頭.
The first song though, it sounds sad and mournful for it to be a Bon Odori song, I doubt it is.
