@versatilechicken It's for keeping the bow string from fraying from the fingers and arrow nock constantly rubbing against one spot. It can also help give a cleaner release and can prevent the string from snagging or fraying if it hits your arm/armguard.

@BackyardBowyer I have a question. When you are starting to serve the bow, about 1:00 , you twist the server while spinning. Is that required? I notice that you don't twist spin at about 1:45 .

@Chrismonchan No, it's not required. It is just easier for me to get the server up and over the string that way.
