  • @BellumSacrumBellum28 you are one of your governments own creations participating in your own manipulation. How does it feel to be part of the most ignorant group of people in the world? How does it feel to be stupid and insensitive? Well you might never even know because you are so wrapped up in America's necessary illusions. Africans are faced with hardships you'll never encounter or understand, but you are faced with having a commodiefied identity you ignorant twat.

  • @caseylynncurtis When I think of those starving kids in Afreaka, it reminds me of that old beef commercial with James Garner. Beef, it's what's for dinner. Remember that one? Only I put a new twist one it. It goes like this..... Visualize a poster with one of those skinny, boney Afro monkeys with flies buzzing around their eyes holding an empty, dirty bowl and the caption reads...NOTHING! It's what's for dinner. Have a pleasant day and don't get lost in Afreaka. You will never be seen again.

  • @BellumSacrumBellum28 You wouldnt know, you're probably one of those infidels that think Africa is a country. You've probably never travelled out of your own country, let alone out of the state you live in. You've definitely never been to Africa, and clearly you don't have a valid perception of what the world beyond your shores is. I live here, I know and experience these people and while some of them are suffering, theyre human, unlike you, you ignorant dick.

  • i just dont get it..how is it that there is water and dirt and a family cant grow food and raise live stock..this is so sad and im really confused..

  • Starving poor people has to be one of the worst sins ever a government could do ,how EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Those people don't even think (and care) to the damage they can do.

Posted the video in the facebook group "World Bank and IFC: The real results"

  • A result of politicians coming to power for four years claiming what they can and running off with their blood money. It's just disgusting.

On a lighter note however, does anyone know who the artist is playing midway?

  • IMF policies have always been controversial, their mission statement is a load of crap. 'reduce poverty around the world' they might as well add 'and increase starvation round the world' it is horrible to see this happening, the 186countries involved should be ashamed.

  • fuk dees scoungas

  • We shall intercede in prayer for Niger.

  • ahhh~ youtube comments

  • the bitter fruit of neo-liberal nonsense, akin to kicking out the ladder from under them. Read the mission statements of the WB & IMF and try to reconcile them with this, I can't. There is historical precedence in Ireland in the 1840's and not much has changed

  • can't they get condoms for free?

  • You need to learn your geography before you post something here. Niger is not overpopulated. It is bad governance. Can you say the word NIGER in public?

    Get a grip ingnorant

  • excuse me

is not that a racist word "NIGER"

  • But what I say to YOU I say to all, Keep on the watch. _ Mark 13:37

  • This is so horrible...This motivates me to do better so One day Ill be on my way with a Plane full of Food to help. How can anyone with the ability to fix this sleep at night?

  • Watch the video. These people do not need a plainful of food. They need decent agricultural policies, not neoliberal IMF Structural Adjustment Programes.

With just a little investment in agriculture and infrastructure, they can grow more food than they would ever need.

But neoliberal theory tells governments - there is no need for an indstrial, agriculture or infrastructure policy, 'the market will provide'.

It is the same economic ideology that is doing in the US's economy.

  • Wow I have been misinformed ... I thought they had starvation problems way before 2005

  • who gives a shit,

i gotta eat mcdonalds, im the real victim

  • you're just trying to get some attention don't you? Oh yeah, you are so cruel, huh? The truth is you're just an asshole.

  • yea bludclot.

  • This is an excellent short film highlighting important issues about development in Niger and elsewhere in Africa. I wish I has seen it before now.

  • is this still going on? the video is 2005 someone please get back to me- Thanks

  • why do you need money in a beautiful place like that.just eat the food you produce, and please for heavens sake dont have kids if you cant feed them.

  • I think the point is that people have been forced to stop producing food in order to farm cash crops. That is, they have moved from subsistence agriculture to commercial agriculture. This means that their income is subject to fluctuations in world markets, that they rely heavily upon one source of income, and that they have reduced food security in times of difficulty.

  • depopulation is NWO policy

  • what the fuck is wrong with the world all the fucking millions WASTED in war with THIS is happening??

  • Try hundreds of trillions.

  • @Nowl8 its not millions wasted in war, its money thats made in war, by the capitalists and govt, war is for money power and resources. Think about everything after war, the other country needs to rebuild so we send our government contractors in, we implement large corporate chains and we take the resources, we control their government actions and their people and we make our own policies,

there is a pattern here, tell the people its for justice and all religious rights go in for the money

  • One day its them and who to say it won't happen to us. Look @ gas prices and our standard of living. Compared to before.....

  • yes sir, the planet has only a set amount of resources. Its time to understand that we are all in this together.

  • yep...the west is laughing now only to cry later. BELIEVE THAT.

  • It's hard to say who's at fault because while the World Bank is being selfish and exploiting poor countries, corruption is also a huge problem within the country itself. Corruption, power, money- It's all a bad combination and really affects those who don't have control over it.

  • Fuckin arrogant garbage, world bank and imf.All they should have told those goverments are their standards not tell them what to do to meet those standards.

  • @cacatcuhellas poor countries were seduced in by the World Bank and IMF to borrow money, when they did the World Bank increased interest rates like crazy, to help foreign investment groups from the U.S. and Europe to come in and take control of their resources. Makes sense?

  • That made me want to cry... Anyone from wesley: Hi!

  • lol what campus are you from? its levi!!

  • yeah same omg

  • "In searching for a new enemy to unite us we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill." -- Club of Rome members Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider in their book 'The First Global Revolution'

  • I have been to Niger. The government there is very corrupt, and the leaders promised them the money from the cash crops...but that never happened. The rains came early this year, and the people's fields weren't ready. This government has to start being responsible for thier actions.

  • @ambular4jesus This is true, but you have to realize people who refuse corruption and work for their people get assassinated. It happens time and time again. Our intelligence agencies make sure these governments work for the economic interests of multinationals. These government officials are just puppets

  • @ambular4jesus the IMF and the World Bank are the hidden hand of corruption in the African countries they have given 'loans' to.

  • I Cant express what I feel, after watching that video.

  • World Bank, IMF, have performed genocide under the guise of economics.

  • Capitalism is genocide under the guise of economics.

  • really?

why do u ask for my white devil capitalistic money?

  • maybe because we have no choice but to use it. I can express distaste for the current economic system, while working within it reluctantly in order to subsist.

  • We have to end this sad reality

  • It will not just end magically. Petter living standards and development stabilize population growth. That is a well known and proven fact in demographical science.

  • makes no difference. no country has a stable population.

  • Norway has a very stable population geowth, for two years ago we had a population growth 1,9 but now we have 2,1(with the real norwegians, not the immigrants).

  • omg...

  • This is so sad.
