  • I wondered what Lee Sharpe was getting up to these days.

  • I have forwarded your question to Keith Davies who teaches on the video. I just make the videos. With thanks, Geoff

  • Who taught you your 'latin' style?!

  • Latin style is a mix; 12 years Salsa LA, Mo, Emma, Mushy (Manchester) not Cuban.

Cha Cha via Jose (Liverpool) has to be on the 1 in MJ as a pause & going on the 2 throws most followers. MJ dancers are used to starting on the 1, left foot forward male, right back female.

Tango from Amir (Jango) Attilla, plus the odd other.

My styling is for MJ dancers, rather than Latin Dancers, as it calms the hips keeping the timing easier to follow & still allows MJ dancers to use music on normal MJ nights

  • Cha cha ( the 4&1) takes 2 beats of music. Using Cha as styling in MJ cant fit into the dance without using extra beats or a dedicated partner . This cant work dancing with multiple partners, which is what MJ is about. Cuban, used in latin dances can be used in MJ. If you ever see a latin dancer learn MJ you will see how good this looks. MJ is a multiple partner dance; using swing, cha, etc to create styling, using different timing removes MJs greatest asset (dancing with multiple partners).
