  • も、もったいね~😨

  • ThinkPad and Toughbook=best laptops ever..

  • watch?v=VfQHjweRlWQ my brand new lenovo ^^ the data didnt survive

  • yes but is it waterproof and if so , can it take a arrow to the knee?

  • It look like its very Flexible

  • Lenovo ist the best!!

  • I dropped my X201s just 40 cms from the floor and the screen got a crack! Please note that Thinkpad does not hold this sort of treatment, it is rather weak. There is no warranty and you pay $110 for the repair!

  • If i knew this before buying my First computer, the first one would have been lenovo.

  • OH, so beautiful!, it still were playing the music.

  • are u kidding..they are starting to crash test laptops....LOL

  • I'd love to see a Mac do that same thing... yeah right. The screen would probably be sooooooo damaged,

  • is it trouth?

  • They need to repeat this test with Hu Jintao stapped in over and over and over and over to make sure the results are accurate. You can never trust the Chinese.

  • @akirafactor LOLWUT? u mad bro? got a problem with the chinese? well better learn to change that mentality soon you piece of shit b/c this world is no longer a monopole around the US and based on your name you are probably japanese so go drink some radioactive water and food and go kill urself in that nuclear plant of urs that failed so hard fucking asswipe

  • @Unit88888888 As if anyone cares about a communist sympathizer.

  • @Unit88888888

    /b/ is that way

  • @akirafactor what a fool

  • @i270 Only a fool would trust the Chinese.

  • @akirafactor Are you a racist or what?

  • @kshumon2000 yes, @akirafactor is a stupid racist.

  • Hi [@i270],

Thanks for your reply. It is sad to see all the racist remarks on youtube and elsewhere.

We didn't have the choice as to what country, race, religion, or, culture we were born into.

But, we do have the choice to learn about others as much as possible and make the world a better place.

Because with understanding of others believe me it is impossible to be racist.

  • @akirafactor LOL.... what a stupid fool!!

  • @i270 Overthrow the CCP, run CCP run.

  • @akirafactor rubbish joke

  • i hope, our cars can last the same test like our Notebooks oneday(:

  • I was travelling home from work one night on my motorcycle when an idiot Mercedes driver changed lanes right across my path, causing me and my bike to interface with the tarmac at 70MPH. My clothing was shredded and my helmet was split open, while my backpack was destroyed. The IBM Thinkpad A31p inside it continued tumbling down the road before slamming into a crash barrier. I was just about okay save a few broken ribs and fingers, but so was the Thinkpad, which works perfectly to this day!

  • @TheSushifiend I have a ThinkPad T20, have abused the shit out of it over time come to think. Even though an oldie but goody from 1999 (it's DAMN thin for a comp from 1999), it still works perfectly. They're some tough computers those IBM / Lenovo ThinkPads. Even though I love my MacBook (I'm not a FULL-TIME mac user however), one wrong slam and it's anywhere from 500-1500 dollars of damage and that's someone Apple and their stupid unibody (mine isn't though it's a 5,2 MB) shit will never get.

  • the top laptop brands for quality and satisfaction is this and mac. Its a no brainer to avoid hp and dell and to go for lenovo or apple

  • @WarpeaceWar6 mac ? lol

  • @WarpeaceWar6 *lenovo, fixed. No need for Apple

  • 0:43 Looks like a rubber

  • What series?

  • @crashtest2302

Looks like a T61, so T-series. An Ideapad will not take that.

  • @crashtest2302

Looks like a T61 or a T500, so definitely T-series. An Ideapad or a lower Thinkpad (SL or L) will survive that at all.

  • GG SSD! lol

  • GG SSD! lol

  • damn,

that happens to my computer all the time.

maybe i should invest in a lenovo...

  • Sir, we have internal bleeding in the passenger, though the notebook survived.

  • Modern thinkpad harddrives park the head when it detects ab irregular movement, within half a sec

  • Ha it is to laugh! My Lenovo didn't need a wall, in fact it led a pampered life. Still the POS crashed on a regular basis until it just died. Two hard drives in two years, pathetic!

  • @bynddrvn5

Well the first time the Hard drive died then it was the supplied ones fault, but if you replaced it with a self-bought one, then it was your fault for buying a shitty hard drive the second time.

  • @Atlantor78 My first Lenovo hard drive crashed in 4 months, Lenovo sent me a new drive and that drive crashed about 1 year later. Both of my first two hard drives were from Lenovo. When I bought the computer I also bought the 5 year on-site service because I have ZERO time to deal with computer crashes. Lenovo reset the warranty for the replacement drive so they wouldn't cover the second hard drive crash.

There was NO way I was going to give Lenovo any money, so I bought a WD drive instead.

  • @bynddrvn5 Lenovo doesn't make HDD's... they get them from companies like Seagate, WD, Samsung, Toshiba, etc.

HDD's fail no matter who makes them, it just happens...

  • @LousyHeroes Yes, I know I actually work for a computer repair company. The two Lenovo drives that crashed were manufactured by Hitachi.

While all hard drives will eventually crash, there is NO excuse for one crashing within two years. NONE of my Western Digital drives have crashed in under 5 years.

From what I have seen come into the store, computer manufactures just put the cheapest crap together, there are no quality manufactures left with the exodus of IBM.

  • @bynddrvn5 I've also worked at a computer repair store,

I've had every single brand of HDD out there, I've had some last 10 years (I have a 50GB Seagate SCSI still running) and I've had drives die within days (Had a 320GB WD that didn't even run) . I only buy different brands based on their warranty support. Right now I'm about to RMA a couple Seagates that died recently, although partially my fault, stuck them in a small case with no airflow.

My point was it wasn't Lenovo's fault

  • I LUV MY IBM T60!! XD

  • i dont think humans drop theyr computers right in the wall with 35mph, a little unessecary to spend cash on dat!

  • @Pivotclorium 35mph is the equivalent to a 13m drop.

  • @Atlantor78 and who drops a computer of 13m height!?! lol

  • @Pivotclorium No idea, maybe out of a window? but if it can survive 13m then it means that it'll be perfectly fine from a slight knock off of a table.

  • @Atlantor78 yeah

  • that shit just plastered into the wall lol

  • 0:37

    Amazing...

  • ok good, i been wondering if its safe to drive my car without any windows, no hands on the steering wheel, while i watch porn on my Thinkpad.

  • solid state hddrv lol

  • @Nexarianz Not in fucking 2007 my friend. Time sure as hell went fast.

  • @roflschofel lol @ my self... didnt look at the date, so yeah, (hdrv installed after test)

  • i fucking love my T61p, the thing is a tank but i would never harm the beast ahha i never do anythnigh to hurt it

  • do u guys know if the new thinkpad edges are just as sturdy?

  • @gghak I need to know the same thing. I have a Edge 14. On one Lenovo video, I saw something that said "All thinkpads go through all 41 of these tests" . So, please inform me if you find any info.

  • my lenovo t60 has been in a crash and survived :L.. the car didn't

  • the laptop was lucky to hit the wall flat... It would have hit on the side and/or on a corner the laptop would be dead,

I'm sure they did several crash tests until they had a laptop still working after the test :-)

  • During the crash the frame broke and few keys dropped,

but at 0:51 the laptop is in perfect condition.

I wont do that to my Thinkpad :)

  • I fail to see why this 35 mph test is relevant to computers.

  • @jdave17 So if you drop it it doesn't break... Logic?

  • the pc im using is a levnovo

  • I can see this being important if you were ever in a serious car crash

  • @enburst if you are in a car crash and you hold the laptop on your knees and it doesn't break then it will probably impale you right in the stomach

  • As much as the thinkpad is a fucking awesome laptop, the Lenovo customer support is fucking terrible. And I want to see a Mac do that. Who's with me? I'll bring the MacBook Pro

  • why the fuk would u even worry about this? who's laptop is going to crash into a wall at 35 miles per hour?

  • @mikej5337 meanwhile somewhere in the world, a laptop survives a drunk driving accident

  • @Unit88888888 lol so the laptop is more valuable than a persons life?

  • Just lost the "F" and the "U" off the keyboards...

  • Can anyone confirm which model was used in this test? I think it's T61

  • Sure it'll survive that, but it won't survive a glass of water. Tested.

  • @razoleg Most of the them have drainage ports on the keyboard. So it will survive water in some conditions.

  • lol cheese

  • I'd REALLY be worried about my laptop if I crashed into a wall at 35mph.

  • @blueeyes927 i couldn't tolerate data loss in ANY condition.

  • i love ibm/lenovo but this ad disappoint me because when the laptop hit the wall, the screen was black..

  • @jonnyattack look at the video at 45 seconds in. you get a clear look at the screen after impact and it's still showing a picture

  • @tiezep OK COOL, ERMM, FINALLY I AM NOT LYING BUT MY DAD JUST BOUGHT THE LENOVO LAPTOP WHICH WAS CRASHED IN THE VIDEO

  • I am getting a new lenovo this week, finally...

It's a dream comes true after 5 years. In information age, it's several lifetime, but the released dream is still a sweet one.... never getting any older.

  • I came buckets.

  • I have a lenovo, and I love it

  • try to run Lenovo over by the tank and see what will happen!!!

it's pointless that someone makes a laptop like an AK-47~

  • @chris91199199 It has been run over by 20tonne trucks. The data survived.

  • lenovo e fulde af lort!!!!!

jeg er desvære ejer af en og selom lortet er solgt med windowvs xp licens så mene lortehovederne fra lenovo IKKE at jeg på nogen måde har krav på en instalation disk eller noget

  • the data may survive but the person wont lol

  • thinkpad t510 is gonna be my next laptop. right now im on a dell latitude d430 still great though but not as durable as thinkpad

  • Just like the good old lenovo thinkpad t41 (mines still alive even after being dropped 11 times)

  • ATHLETIC PC

  • I think my next labtop gonna be Lenovo

  • @DoItForGood lenovo sucks! i had it many times and it breaks down!

    IBM > Lenovo

  • @DoItForGood

You should say Lenovo "Thinkpad", not only Lenovo.

    They are different.

  • ye i love how lenovo is the new IBM and trust me guys IBM has been around for over 30 years with laptops that last over 15 years and lenovo is built with some other computer manufacturers. i love how IBM still controls the slick black look of there IBM's on most of the new lenovo's

  • MAGNIFICENT

  • I'm gonna try this with my inspiron 1545 :D.

  • What piece of rubber is that?

  • wtf, that'ss a crazy laptop, i want to have one

  • I am using Lenovo y450, so far so good, feel really solid. my next laptop will be thinkpad definitely.

  • have g550

    very good notebook

  • i had a x61 for 3 yrs, best ever!!!

  • let's see a mac do that

    LOL

  • @FedoraFTW People like you don't understand the drastic changes in these two laptops! Lenovo ThinkPad is designed specifically for HARD WORK use so that's why many companies and / or works use ThinkPads.... Macs can be for work, but not work like construction or "hard work" jobs, Macs are more designed for HOME USE or use on your pleasure and/ or leasure time... So, comparing that ThinkPad to a Mac is truly pointless, because you're comparing two different types of TASTES

  • @AppleUploader awh apple fanboy butthurt, how about you mac out all cores on your macbook pro and fry an egg on the palmrest. call it an iegg.

it's always 'you don't understand' with you apple fanboys, your unibody frame sucks dick. dents easily and heats up pretty bad. don't be angry a plastic laptop is more stronger and durable than an aluminum frame.

so mac users can't take there mac do a hard working job? so your saying the PC is for the big boys and the mac r at home being the house bitch

  • @FedoraFTW hmm, well first of all, the joke you made about the egg is FAIL and GAY! and nahh, i didn't say that.. why don't you go back, and re-read what i wrote and maybe your stupid Lenovo brain will start to get working... how the fuck would you even know it dents easily anyway stupid fuck you're just hating on the mac because you're simply way to POOR to afford one now go get a job

  • @AppleUploader i thought the joke was pretty sweet, like i said your a butthurt apple fanboy. stupid levono brain?

does that mean im stronger and durable than you?

    LOL self owned.

how do i know? i have owned a macbook.

im too poor to own a mac? that's why my gaming PC is well over a grand and pretty much fucks up 90% of what apple has to offer.

  • @FedoraFTW you, sir, are HILARIOUS!!! it's funny how much people talk shit over the internet!!! whatever fuck you man and your joke sucks my huge cock

  • @FedoraFTW

I did, to a degree. My son's MacBook dropped a flight down a stairway. Badly damaged chassis, all data intact.

  • @Majik47

Yeah, down a really long flight of stairs (4m/12ft in height difference) it would reach roughly half the speed of this test.

Half the speed is a quarter of the force. Not to mention the difference between a concrete slab and normal vinyl/wooden floors.

You would probably have to drop it from the fourth or fifth floor onto a concrete floor or tiles to get something equal to this.

  • @FedoraFTW hell yeah bitly/i1Vxqd add dot between bit and ly

  • too bad ideapads are same crap quality as an average notebook... my screen, keyboard, webcam, and dvd drive are all broken..

    F***

    should have gotten a thinkpad!

  • IBM always been the BEST

  • I've seen this thing fall from my friend's bag while he was walking and it still worked perfectly fine.

  • haha omg

  • the data survive .. may be

but the system is still running as if nothing happened ????!!!!!! impossible

  • @koko440 Why is it impossible? It's Lenovo. Chinese quality.

  • 0:37- 0:39 Its all floppy

  • wats the song that comes when the lenovo is flying in mid air? the piano song

  • Debussy-Clair de lune

  • china product is best

  • lenovo is chinese

  • no. Lenovo has its own designs as well.

  • lenovo bought ibm long time ago

  • Lenovo is chinese. You know how you see alot of IBM machinese in retail stores etc right? Well i've seen a few Lenovo also.

  • I love lenovo - Right now I am using a Lenovo 3000J105 PC desktop which is 6 years old my dell one didn't last to be even 3 years. -.- The PSU failed within the 2nd year taking the mobo & CPU with it. So far, No serious issues with my Desktop :D

  • lmfao laptop crash test Im wondering how it survived tht

  • Yeah I guess we had similar experiences then, I just don't understand how they never noticed that this may be an issue. Seriously, how long does it take to swipe a credit card?

I'm glad at least I'll have something to look forward to

  • I had the worst customer experience while purchasing a computer from Lenovo. It has taken over a week to even get the order processed. And now that allegedly it has been processed they are giving me an estimated ship date of November 3rd. How can it take a company that manufactures computers 1month to ship a computer? I requested the basic model and it takes that long. I don't understand how no one has taken action inside the company to get this process to work better.

  • I mean that's just Lenovo. It took me 3 weeks to get an order of a W500 and a W700 due to some credit card security issues that took time to process. From what I and others have noticed is that their payment processing takes a significant amount of time - hence the delays basically everyone experiences. I've just come to accept that because every other experience with their products and services (warranty is #1) is fantastic.

  • i know the S line is shit

how about the R line??? are they thinkpad tough or are they scrap?

I think my next laptop will be a T series thinkpad!

The sad part is i watched this video and ordered a lenovo ideapad....

    just another consumer laptop....dam

  • @DavidKneiber The Ideapad line is the best consumer line out there for its price, so you didn't lose much.

  • As which it serves that if LENOVO does not give technical support. They wanted not even to answer a question indicated, me that it had to send the machine to the place they made where it. I regret to have bought LENOVO

  • Seeing it flex made me actually say "ow"...Even with the roll cage

  • i'm surprised all it did was flex, although the flexing seemed rather extreme. but my dell could not hit a wall at 10 mph and stand to be ok, so i guess thats an improvement...

  • In the beginnig of this video is clearly placed question "will your data survive?" and that makes me feel like this crash test is not about physical survival of the whole notebook but only your data which were by the time of crash in process. Why should bussines notebook endure crash in 35mph? What about getting your emails done in a cab while transporting somwhere else? And what about crashing suddenly into another car then? Lost data, lost time, lost money (if not life:))

  • see, the lcd get crashed.

Hard drive, well i don't think you could use it normaly again..

  • You actually can. My dad works for Lenovo & they do it all the time.(Slam HDs against walls and whatnot and the work perfectly fine. it takes alot of force for one of them to quit on you)

  • The hard drive survived... OK?

  • Of course they will show that nothing happened to Lenovo after crash cause they wanna sell their product!! I cannot believe some people are so naive to believe the commercials. X series oveheats if you leave them on and crashed HD, T series didnt have that problem. so it depends on what series got thrown to the wall or used as a cutting board by a grandma or whatever abuse they show.. Think before you believe...

  • lol a crashed HD overheat?

clearly u dont hav much knowledges on pc

  • Yes, they exaggerate the amount of damage it can take. However, the IT office I worked in for the summer got a machine in recently (an IBM one, before it was Lenovo, but either way) from a faculty member who had run over it with his minivan. The laptop was still entirely functional. The screen was cracked to hell and had lines in it, but it worked. It's an exaggeration but not a complete lie. Those things really are tanks.

  • yea to bad i think when IBM sold the line to lenovo they started to cut corners, it still is very robust but not like an IBM thinkpad

  • Yeah, they're not quite the same way. But, my roommate last year dropped his from the top bunk at least three times, and it still worked just fine. So, not AS good, but still gotta love 'em.

  • agree...

  • @tecano999 People have done similar tests, Lenovo doesn't exaggerate. Think or do some research before you talk.

  • Who would CRASH TEST A LAPTOP?

  • It's for in case you're wondering if its safe to use your laptop while driving purposely into a wall. I for one am reassured.

  • Lenovo would, because they know there stuff is invincible.

  • this is a lab testing, probably not going to happen in real life. for quality testing only.

  • I'm so glad my last job used these. I supported 250 of these and the only physical issues were from severe misuse. The only actual failures were with batteries and hard drives, witch I consider expendable in laptops.

Sure they don't have the greatest gaming graphics. Most do not.

  • YES I'm chinese... from Hong kong. Dude my lenovo shit sucks for gaming and I want to get rid of it but the problem is it doesn't break. Unless I drop it from 5 floors. Btw MEKORE buy a mac the bat last for 8 hours without charging.

  • i need to use my laptop 12 hours/ day, any suggestion? i need the one that lasts

  • get an inverter and some big-ass deep-cycle SLAs.

  • i don't understand a word u type!?

  • I said:

Get yourself an inverter and some large sealed-lead-acid batteries.

The deep-cycle kind, like for golf carts.

Then you run your laptop from the inverter which is powered by the huge external batteries.

That's how you get to 12-hour runtimes.

  • thx

  • your best bet would be a T400 with 9-cell battery

  • I highly doubt the LCD could survive that.

  • I Accidently Tripped On My R40's Cord And It Crashed To The Floor From A 3 Feet Table. And I'm Typing From It Now.

  • Oh God Did It Fuck Up Your Shift Key

  • no. XD, No Damage!

  • look at that thing flex

  • lol!!!

  • Flexible circuit boards - I know the Nikon D2 and D3 have em. I don't think its hard to put on a laptop either, is it?

Oh, right, harddrive head gets parked too.

Yes the data survives. I'm typing this from a 4 year old T43.

  • I dunno... ThinkPads have accelerometers that park the heads as soon as it sees that it's accelerating, and the motherboard only takes up about half the computer and I've seen some circuit boards flex quite a bit without breaking anything. It is a commercial, so it may or may not be real... but I bet it could survive.

  • it is possible it was a SSD which would give it even more protection.

  • keyboard - fucked, screen - fucked, mouse - fucked, hard drive- dented but spins

  • Too bad my thinkpad is now permanently embeded in the back of the driver's head, but at least now we have easy access to the family photos on my Harddrive!
