Blue Highway is amazing! They need to get nominated for IBMA's & SPBGMA's. Jason Burleson should be nominated for Banjo Player and Wayne should be nominated for Bass Player. Blue Highway should get Entertaining Group Of The Year Overall! Go Blue Highway!!!
I saw Blue Highway at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Haines Junction Yukon Territory Canada. It was a pleasure and an honor to watch them in the auditorium and then in a small log church... up close and personal. My son and I sat beside Wayne for a bit and then got our pic. taken with Jason and Shawn afterward. True gentlemen... My son (3) had his finger up his nose just prior to shaking Waynes hand... and it didn't bother Wayne a bit. Just love these guys!
I couldnt agree with you more BLuegrassguy33... It takes a unique sound to have a voice to sing these songs and give them the justice and "Flavor" to do them justice.
I see a lot of comments about shawn being so great. He really is. But Rob Ickes is awesome. Tim Stafford is a killer flatpicker. One of my favorites. Jason is really solid on that banjer, too. This is why they have won so many IBMA awards. Hell, Wayne, Shawn, and Tim are all from around my way. As is Ralph and Jim and Jesse. We produce the 'grass in these here parts.
To say that Jason is "really solid" is a vast understatement. He is one of the most underrated bluegrass banjo pickers of all time. He fits the Blue Highway sound perfectly and matches up evenly talent-wise with Tim, Shawn and Rob instrumentally.
Wyane Taylor (The short one for those of you who don't know) is my cousin. His mom was my grandfather's sister. Wether you believe me or not, it's true. ^^

Wayne is one of the BEST lead singers (and song writers, I might add) that I've heard. I don't think he gets near enough credit.

what kind of guitar is Tim playing??

Tim is playing a CA (Composite Acoustics) Guitar. Really great guitars and they're appearing more and more in all different types of music.

Shawn is an unbelievable talent. Vocally and instumentally. This is one of my favorite Blue Highway songs. Thanks for the posting
