I just saw where the other members of INXS deny sending JD away. They claimed they were going to call him back but his lie about them turning him away from the band gave them no reason to do so. Who knows what's true? All I know is that it's sad because JD and INXS seemed like such a perfect fit.
I can see JD feeling screwed if he was to have no input in INXS. Nobody really knows though. I remember people waring about JD just being a rental with no input. Maybe that's true.

I named the band Paramore for the Paramour Mansion recording studios after I wrote Decode and hearing the Farris Bros of INXS talking about holding the RockStar show there when Hutch decided to bail on the band back in '96.

Watching the show 16x9, and listening to the band's publicist speak about how he has put the band in 'lockdown' regarding talking of this incident makes me suspicious......I don't think that J.D., nor any of us, knew about the 'fine print' in that he was only a contract player in the band! That's bs! Sure, INXS is a 30 year 'business', but had been a washed up one for the last decade until J.D. joined their ranks!
Man is this thing blown out of proportion by the media (as usual). Using words like 'fired' and 'sacked' to describe the separation. I don't hear that in the interview - 'how'd they do it, how did they let you go' was the question. Albeit, JD should have described the situation (contract) - once a person knows this it all makes sense. There would have been alot of uncertainty in his mind about his future with the band. He's obviously not had any contact with them over the last year.
INXS have been around for 30yrs! They are not flash in the pan type of unprofessionals. They gave this kid the world and took him on tour etc. They dumped him because of drug use. Actually, I feel sorry for JD. He's been chewed up and spit out by the industry machine, and unfortunately he didn't look to see it coming. It's easy to get caught up in the rush and think it's going to last. JD has learned this the hard way. I pity him that he didn't approach this thing with caution. He's obviously hurting. If I were in his circumstances I could easily see myself being tempted by the same things, and everyone else that's honest with themselves should admit it too.

JD has a new myspace page (check it out) with a lot of his new songs on it (which are great by the way). He also asks the subscribers to not do any band bashing. He is also blogging everyday and seems to have been humbled by his "situation" I hope this is true. You never know who any of these people really are unless you really know them. Probably no one will ever know what really transpired.
Dear Lord, total shock, I always felt INXS turned their backs on Michael, now on JD. And I did think he was right for the band, I picked him the first day and told him so in NYC. When people are in trouble (if this drug allegation is true) one should not abandon their friends, and mates. If this is true, it could have been handled better.

INXS are hypocrites to fire JD for drug use. In their autobiography "Story to Story" there is drug use all thru the book. They talk about always being high during concerts.They were smoking weed behind amplifiers. Jon Stevens warned JD to get a good lawyer because they would eventually sh** all over him like they did to him. I'm curious to see what the bands response to all of this will be. Well, when I saw them with JD at the Riverstage in Brisbane Australia, JD seemed high as a kite, was smoking onstage (when we have strict rules about designated smoking areas) and drinking straight vodka from the bottle. he tried to put on a good show, I give him that, but he just seemed too wrapped up in the rock and roll lifestyle. I was never a big fan of his but being dumped at an airport in Asia is pretty rough. What will INXS do now? Another tv show? Did they not get enough fame?

JD's alleged drug problem is entirely untrue and it is a fabrication that is being used by some people here to justify JD's mistreatment by INXS. JD is not a drug user and he was completely clean while a member of INXS. This is bad for the reputation of INXS and Australians, and all Canadians should boycott INXS in protest.

So many people I have seen that have known JD fortune before he was famous say he is a scum bag. They say he takes loans from people and never pays them back, he also steals from people when they let him into their home, and he is an extremely cocky arrogant bastard. It's not what I say, I've heard more things from people along the way that are very reputable people say this. If it is true, it's really too bad.

I named the band Paramore for the Paramour Mansion recording studios after I wrote Decode and hearing the Farris Bros of INXS talking about holding the RockStar show there when Hutch decided to bail on the band back in '96.

Watching the show 16x9, and listening to the band's publicist speak about how he has put the band in 'lockdown' regarding talking of this incident makes me suspicious......I don't think that J.D., nor any of us, knew about the 'fine print' in that he was only a contract player in the band! That's bs! Sure, INXS is a 30 year 'business', but had been a washed up one for the last decade until J.D. joined their ranks!

Man is this thing blown out of proportion by the media (as usual). Using words like 'fired' and 'sacked' to describe the separation. I don't hear that in the interview - 'how'd they do it, how did they let you go' was the question. Albeit, JD should have described the situation (contract) - once a person knows this it all makes sense. There would have been alot of uncertainty in his mind about his future with the band. He's obviously not had any contact with them over the last year.

INXS have been around for 30yrs! They are not flash in the pan type of unprofessionals. They gave this kid the world and took him on tour etc. They dumped him because of drug use. They went through it with themselves and the death of their friend and bandmate. You cant expect them to put up with that crap. Sorry JD be a man stop crying to talkshows and the media. Actually, I feel sorry for JD. He's been chewed up and spit out by the industry machine, and unfortunately he didn't look to see it coming. It's easy to get caught up in the rush and think it's going to last. JD has learned this the hard way. I pity him that he didn't approach this thing with caution. He's obviously hurting. If I were in his circumstances I could easily see myself being tempted by the same things, and everyone else that's honest with themselves should admit it too.

Not sure what to make of this. A new INXS release was probably anticipated by all fans. The switch CD was probably rushed to the market., and a followup would possibly have been huge.

hey....I am very upset with J.D. why would you do drugs....he was acting like a big shot...that is crazy...the rest of the band probably warned him about his drug use...he ignored and persisted...so the band simply said goodbye....he snorted it all away.....crazy....I'm very upset cause I saw them twice and was waiting for the new album to come out.....not good...not good at all!!!!!!

JD has a new myspace page (check it out) with a lot of his new songs on it (which are great by the way). He also asks the subscribers to not do any band bashing. He is also blogging everyday and seems to have been humbled by his "situation" I hope this is true. You never know who any of these people really are unless you really know them. Probably no one will ever know what really transpired.

Dear Lord, total shock, I always felt INXS turned their backs on Michael, now on JD. And I did think he was right for the band, I picked him the first day and told him so in NYC. When people are in trouble (if this drug allegation is true) one should not abandon their friends, and mates. If this is true, it could have been handled better.

INXS are hypocrites to fire JD for drug use. In their autobiography "Story to Story" there is drug use all thru the book. They talk about always being high during concerts.They were smoking weed behind amplifiers. Jon Stevens warned JD to get a good lawyer because they would eventually sh** all over him like they did to him. I'm curious to see what the bands response to all of this will be. They had a huge following with JD. They might as well just hang it up forever now. This is disgusting.

Well, when I saw them with JD at the Riverstage in Brisbane Australia, JD seemed high as a kite, was smoking onstage (when we have strict rules about designated smoking areas) and drinking straight vodka from the bottle. he tried to put on a good show, I give him that, but he just seemed too wrapped up in the rock and roll lifestyle. I was never a big fan of his but being dumped at an airport in Asia is pretty rough. What will INXS do now? Another tv show? Did they not get enough fame?

JD's alleged drug problem is entirely untrue and it is a fabrication that is being used by some people here to justify JD's mistreatment by INXS. JD is not a drug user and he was completely clean while a member of INXS. This is bad for the reputation of INXS and Australians, and all Canadians should boycott INXS in protest.

Mad INXS fan and having seen them with both JD and Michael, ok we need to know both sides but JD was doing what rock stars do, the man was and is a perfect performer and slid into the style of INXS, You could see from way back in Rockstar he had a wild streak, so quite naturally led the life of a rockstar to, the rest of the band are probably of a case of been there done it, now eating Tofu is the highlight of the day (REF; Kirks Journal INXS website).

He must have received at least 1 million dollars for his time with INXS,so I have no sympathy for someone who blew that kind of money up their nose.

I find it hard to believe that INXS would be so shallow and drop JD like that. OK they are taking a deserved break, but all we have got from them since they stopped touring is some half-hearted ramble about working on songs and a new album for 2008. Load of bs! I love JD - I have no sympathies that he wasted his money like that, but INXS made lots of money out of him. JD worked his butt off and he deserves better than this. If JD's voice is not on the next INXS album, I'm not buying it.

I've always thought that this band were jerks, as much as I love their music.
I am shocked that JD is in the dire situation he is in now. Bandmates are supposed to stick together through the thick and thin, not just toss aside someone who worked so hard to get this gig because he may have had some issues. These can be dealt with and the band could have moved forward. I hope that this isn't some excuse to do another 'ROCK STAR: INXS" on televion!

Michael Hutchence died a man with not a penny to his name, and the band didnt seem to try and help him at the end.
Jon Stevens toured with them as lead singer for a few years, and was made singer after Michael, and found out he was no longer singer after hearing about Inxs Rockstar
And now the band canned JD Fortune and he too is broke like Michael Hutchence because he was never made a band member but paid $50,000. The band cant be trusted fuck them and
