This video is much too 3 rail biased. Folks, just about any scale has starter sets often for a much more reasonable price. Don't get me wrong, Lionel still makes great trains and O scale offers a lot, but their starter sets are insanely expensive. And since everyone else on the comments page is saying so; My first electric train set was operating my Grandpa's N scale layout.

Excellent Guide! As a newbie myself, I've been searching for guides like this. The best book I found is on the RailRoadModeller website. Just google "model railroad book" to find it. It really helped to have an actual book to refer to. Hope it helps you as much as it did me!

i can tell you you need insulatore pins they are pastic and stop curente but you will also need another transformer
