Enough to win their games at home, but Luongo was so terrible they would have had to score ten goals a game to win. That was the final, and Thomas was shutting down the Canucks it was up to Luongo (supposedly one of the best) to do the same, but he couldn't. Say what you want about the regular season. Those games are the ones that count, and if you can't bring it then the rest doesn't matter.

They had the best team this year, and you can't expect to score 4 or more goals a game in the finals (unless you're shooting on Luongo) so it was his job to be great. In the games Vancouver lost in Boston they had 1 and 2 goals that would've been enough to win any of the home games.

Including game 7, but Luongo (the highest paid goalie in the league) couldn't do it with the best team in the league in front of him. I don't know what else to call that, but failure on his part.

@Raisedmyweapon You can only really say that about the last game. Vancouver scored in the other games. Enough to win their games at home, but Luongo was so terrible they would have had to score ten goals a game to win. That was the final, and Thomas was shutting down the Canucks it was up to Luongo (supposedly one of the best) to do the same, but he couldn't. Say what you want about the regular season. Those games are the ones that count, and if you can't bring it then the rest doesn't matter.

@Raisedmyweapon He can stop the puck. Other goalies can do it on worse teams. They had the best team this year, and you can't expect to score 4 or more goals a game in the finals (unless you're shooting on Luongo) so it was his job to be great. He can't afford to let in more than one or two goals a game, and if he hadn't of the cup would probably be in Vancouver right now. In the games Vancouver lost in Boston they had 1 and 2 goals that would've been enough to win any of the home games.

@Raisedmyweapon Tim Thomas was brilliant in every game. Especially the important ones. So was Roloson, Price, Rhinne, Crawford, Howard. All these guys were awesome in the pressure games. Including game 7, but Luongo (the highest paid goalie in the league) couldn't do it with the best team in the league in front of him. I don't know what else to call that, but failure on his part.

Half the time Luongo doesn't need to be good, That's what pretty much made him choke in the playoffs Before, But i do believe he has improved since last years playoffs do you not agree? and he can still get much better In my Opinion. And By the way, Luongo's cap hit is not that much, In fact he's not even in the top 25 in cap hit. So yeah. Doesn't matter.

@Raisedmyweapon He's great when he's on, but for my money I prefer players who thrive in pressure situations not crumble in them, or at the very least someone who is consistent so the team knows what to expect. How do you think the players feel when one game he lets in nothing, and the next he lets in 8? They don't know what to expect, so they don't know how to play around him. His inconsistency affects the whole team.

They played big tough defense, and the skill of the Canucks couldn't beat the strength of the Bruins. If Luongo had've played well in one of those four games he could've given them a change to make something happen. He's supposed to be elite, and he should play that way consistently. Especially in the finals. One game maybe, but four shitty games? Come on that's weak.

Yes Luongo didn't play good in one of those four games, But who on the canucks did?, When they we're playing like a team at home, All of them we're playing good. For whatever reason. NO canucks players played good at Boston, or in game 7. It was heartbreaking.
