As a Bulls fan, They were a great team, a team that only comes along once in a while. I watched that series and knew they were robbed. Anyone with common sense knows they would have won game 6 and gone on to beat the Nets in the Finals. The Nets didn't even come close to the caliber that that Kings team was. Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Peja Stojakovic, Vlade Divac, Bobby Jackson, Doug Christie, Hedo Turkoglu, and the all the rest, you are the true champions.

i think the fact that the lakers fans rub it in our faces about that series is just ignorant. if there is a fixed game, the team that eventually comes out as the winner does not deserve it period. also, one fixed game means that any integrity in the league is null and void. unless the league comes out about the fixed games and draft lotteries, all of it is one giant fix in my mind. i am not just referring to just the kings either. they weren't the only victims of the league.

@TurtlesAtWalmart I can see some similarities although that 02 Kings team was much more overall skilled. Pretty much every single player that stepped on the court for them could flat out shoot the ball and pass. Not sure if any team is like that. Also as far as the PGs, it would be Bibby and 6th man of the year Jackson. J-Will was traded for Bibby and he wasn't on the 02 team.

Anyway, still boggles my mind that group never won a title. Just too much controversy and bad luck with injuries

God damn i miss this team...I think the biggest mistake the Kings ever made was getting rid of Rick Adleman after he brought the team to the fucking conference finals. Then they proceeded to make some of the worst trades in history. The Maloof's are a couple of idiots if you ask me.

Here's the FT stats for each game prior to game 6:

G1: LA 16-22 Sac 16-17

G2: Sac 23-38 LA 15-25

G3: Sac 21-35 LA 8-15

G4: LA 18-27 Sac 18-26

G5: Sac 22-33 LA 17-23

Looks to me that the refs were favoring the kings from game 2 thru 5! If the kings had not of choked a 20+ point lead in game 4, series would of been over in game 5. Game 6 was the only game in the series the Lakers shot 10+ more FTs, while the kings shot that amount in games 2, 3 & 5!

Doug Christie was the guy who could guard anyone

Peja was the 3 point master

Vlade Divac had the veteran leadership

and C-Webb was the glue; the franchise player

we also had Bobby Jackson, the spark plug off the bench, Hedo who gave more 3 pt shooting and Scott Pollard who did all the dirty work down in the paint.

And all these players were GREAT passers too.
