@illywacker1 Garlashelli's fake does not look even nearly as good as the Shroud- and that is despite him getting funded plenty of money to make his- plus he has the original to go on- when the original artist would have to make this good of a fake without a template. Also Garlaschelli's was made using red paint whereas no paint was found on the shroud's image. Lastly, the 3D effects of the fake are not like those of the real one at all. Apparently the church has done a restoration to the shroud (in secret) probably destroying any chance of accurate dating, but chard pieces of the cloth which have been removed should give accurate C-14 readings; according to scientists.

I would say this is fake except for the fact that there was no technology known to man at that time to etch an image on the very outer layers of a cloth back then. To me, the only way it could have happened is through HIGHLY CONCENTRATED LIGHT coming from the body flowing from head to toe(or vice versa). Similar to the way a scanner works, except THIS LIGHT came FROM His body! It further validates that Yeshua(real name) is truly the Light of the World! He said it in John 8:12. (read it)

Why not just buy some fabric from a local merchant? And why make the image a photographic negative that couldn't really be seen back in that day? wrong..C14 is not reliable in the dating of rock..It was found accurate in wood,cloth,paper materials like these have been shown to not be 100 percent..but pretty damn accurate..however in rock dating..yes..it was proven miserably wrong by multiple scientists..until their next attempt at failure radiometric dating...ugh.

In fact, the carbon dating for items less than 6k years have an accuracy of within +/- 16 years give or take when done right. As I'm sure you know, not only is carbon dating horrible for rocks, it won't even work. It helps to actually have carbon in the item you're dating.
