@ryanz123987 I like John Lennon don't get me wrong, but there is this thing people have with him I will never understand, his voice was never on the same level as Paul's, Paul always had the range, and diversity, Lennon just had blues grit, and a decent singing voice, and great songwriting skills, but he was never an amazing singer. People like Paul, Gillan, Plant, and Mercury are on a whole other level.
@towcar68 You are incorrect, actually. This is not so much different from Zeppelin's music, in consideration of the interesting album, Coda (their last, produced by Jimmy Page), and the remarkable "In Through the Out Door".
One of my faves, from back then. Really takes me back, now, as I listen to the tune, again. Truly an era of song writing...well...that we just don't get anymore. maybe that is why most radio stations have gone to programs from the good ole 80s....
Words to ponder over. Thanks for this upload, Ryder276.
This song brings back a nice bunch of memories for me, including of when I first started playing bass.
Also ONE HELUVA visually well-made video...I would REALLY love to see the feature-length movie that I often imagine this video to be a condensed version or trailer of... :)
I remember driving around in my '88 Ford Mustang 5.0 listening to this album. Love this song. Those were the good old days...now I'm 40, and I like to go back and listen to this stuff from time to time for the nostalgia. Too bad artists don't/can't make music like this anymore.
this was and still is great music....I always loved the line "30 second attention span"...that was true in the 80's and today it is probably a 3 nano-second attention span....
It's funny how everybody jumped onto the Fretless Bass bandwagon after Japan had made it trendy. I bought this record back then, just because it had said instrument in the middle eighth. Great tune but a poxy vid Rob
