Which sprint on Dubai World Cup night is Sepoy being pointed toward at this year's Dubai Carnival? Are they thinking the Al Quoz Sprint on the turf? Or are they considering the Golden Shaheen on the tapeta? If I'm not mistaken, they've upgraded the Al Quoz Sprint on the turf from G2 to G1 status now, beginning this year. But again, if I'm not mistaken, the Golden Shaheen on the tapeta carries with it a much larger purse than does the Al Quoz. I'll be interested to see which one Sepoy runs in?
I really feel bad for Sepoy because he's such a cracking good sprinter in his own right. But it really is almost a damned if he does or damned if he don't situation for this horse. I have not doubt one that Sepoy would be better off remaining with Snowden after Dubai than he will be with either Godolphin trainer in the UK. But the flip side of that coin is that if he stayed with Snowden in Australia, he'd never fully get the kind of recognition he deserves. Because of the rule of Black Caviar.
@emmelby You're right he did show a lot of guts. He's certainly come back to the pack where the other 3 year olds are concerned. Foxwedge gets better & better with every run. Bear Hero was pretty disappointing after the big wraps on him. I was also impressed with the way Satin Shoes held on in the race. I thought she was right in it in the Gucci Stakes last week, even with top weight but was a bit disappointing.
@Gberet83 golden shaheen I think mate. You should come join the Aussie team on the Sussex stakes thread haha
