I was at this show when I was 18. I took a bus ride from Rochester to New York to see my idols. I"ve probably seen 250 concerts in my life (including 6 Kiss shows). But of all the concerts I've seen (1976 thru 2010), this was my all-time favorite. The energy exhibited by Kiss was unbelievable. It was a surreal experience. It was a larger than life evening. I've seen The Who, the Rolling Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd live....none of them compared to Kiss on this Feb '77 night.

Thank God for the internet & YouTube. Been a massive fan since i was 7 (in 78). being in Australia, its was SO hard to get things about KISS when i was younger. Nowadays , for me its one of the best things i can do, go on the PC check out all the UNBELEIVABLE videos & pics i missed out on. There are a couple of non-KISSology 1 posts of both Houston-'77 shows. Personally, I think the original Houston concert vids from the "boot" circuit are better than what's on KISSology 1; the Houston show is way too dark, and the crowd response (cheering, whistling) is over-dubbed; the same thing done on the Alive cd's. I guess the "powers that were" didn't feel that the original crowd response was loud enough. If anything, the KISSology editors dehanced the Houston concert.
