This is an excellent demonstration of the fact that karate-do was design primarily to deal and defeat judo/jutsu-ka the art of the japanese samurai.People today don't understand why would someone would grab you,yet the UFC shows that grabbing is a pre-coursor to a throw,a joint-lock,or strangulation.Karate-do is design against that by quickly striking the opponent and either KO him or KILL.Although karate strives not to cause death,but that's the underlaying reality of karate-do training.
@karateinfo1 It's true, but I don't see any grabbling attack in this video, except at 0:15. But no grabbler would attack like this. Anyway, the attacks are nothing special in this vid, every Karateka learns how to block and counter it. The bunkai is interesting though
Some techniques are beginning to look like the JKA kata.
Some clear steps towards sport Karate are visible IMHO.
