When Snowball first came here, he was up for adoption. But after seriously biting each potential adopter that came to interact with him, we gave him permanent sanctuary here after one week of being here. Maybe that was his way of telling me he wanted to stay here with us. So it is here that he will stay.

Snowball didn't start dancing until he was about six years old. Never force anything upon a bird. Some like to dance, some like to sing, some like to talk, and some simply like to be just a bird. Play the music that you like to listen to...if your bird enjoys dancing, he will start all on his own whenever he feels like it.

I think snowball is a music lover , he seems to love the beat the most , I might suggest playing "mgmt electric feel " you can find it on youtube , he would probably like some hip hop or reggae as well , if you have a p.o. box , i would be more then happy to send him a music cd , I'm probably not the only one...

Snowball is awesome, but I suspect that following his fame, you may be inundated with parrots whose owners are unable to care for them. You can only do so much, you are only a human afterall. I hope that all your birds get the same time and attention that Snowball gets. They may not be famous, but they are all gorgeous, and they all deserve that. Best wishes to you, your staff, and all your precious birds.

God bless you for what you're doing for these amazing birds. We have a lesser sulphur as well and I'm trying to teach him the Snowball dance but he just won't do it. He does other stuff though like jumping and spinning his head.

Most animals can be taught to connect aural rhythm with body responses. They don't natually think of it. Move their body parts to the rhythm, and they'll learn the connection. And dance with them.

My Snowy is 10 years old now and he is very intelligent and bond to me, but he loves my son too. It is his morning call for him too loud for his sensitive ear-drums, not mine fortunately.

I saw this video and I recognize our family's amazonparrot Calle in what you said Irena! Calle is very, very loving and caring to me. He lived in a drugdealers house before he came to us, and had a very bad life. Can't explain about it, it is too much. Calle dont like other people except me and my big sister. But he is very kind and loving to both of us. I think he is my little babyboy. He gives me much love and tries to feed me with his food. He stays with me when I am sad too!

And I help at animal shelters and also a donkey rescue center. And I think it's great that there are more people like you, who are helping different animals. Thank you, meddetect10, for loving a bird unconditionally. Not everyone can do that. A bird will be a bird and they all make noise. If you can't take the noise, don't buy a bird. Snowball was never abused in his previous household. He came from a VERY loving home.

If you are getting a baby parrot from a petstore you are buying it, not adopting it. Please consider adopting a grown bird from a rescue. I guarantee there is one in your state as many parrots are left homeless when they reach puberty. By the way, I'm not connected to a rescue, but I am a person who adopted a parrot from one.

Everybody says that they want a bird. Unfortunately, a bird is like a puppy x10. Birds are destructive, noisy, and hard to care for. Also, it's not uncommon, from what I've heard from other bird owners, for a bird to have the life span of a human (60 years).

So birds are sent to places like this, but unlike this one, many are unable to fully care for each bird, and they are underfed and unhealthy, usually for the rest of their life.

Petco and Petsmart cannot sell parrots due to this.
