When I first heard about Obama's speach to students I was just as up in arms as most everyone else, but the fact of the matter is this is not a political speech. There was a valid message that I think everyone should respect, whether you agree with our President's politcal policies or not. I'm not the biggest fan of Obama either, but this was a message to the American youth that can only do them good.

Good speech, but it's too nationalistic. Most of the problems we are going to face in the near future are global problems ie (global warming, depleting resources, disease, wars, economy . . . etc) Saying ". . . when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country" doesn't sound promising. If Obama's foreign policy focuses working together peacefully around the world, then I will be optimistic. If all nations don't find common ground and work together, then nothing will change.
