Why can't we just have a world where there are no borders, people should be able to live in ANY country they choose. It's pretty remote from a free world, if all the countries were united into 1 global population it would solve nearly everything. Resources would be shared equally, people wouldn't be left to starve or die of curable disease, things like climate control would be so much easier to manage if the whole world followed 1 basic rule book instead of the 1000's of different national laws.
I am a Swiss and I think that it goes well all foreigners in Switzerland. At the moment I live in New Zealand and I am also have to respect this country, as I am a guest here. Mutual respect is already very much. Second we have to learn the language. We speak 4 languages of Switzerland, 3 of which (German, French and italian) are widespread, and many swiss understand also good english. Common, in which other country, it is the national language easier to learn?
hey wait a minute. this is somewhat unfair. in the case of this lady that studied international relations i totally understand that she works in the united nations and not in a company. a friend of mine who is swiss studied the same at my university. i studied finance and i had jobs during my studies (i'm a foreigner), whereas he was flipping burgers. i mean, common, how useful is what she's studied for companies?
ok im black but i mean people cant help it when its der home country i think its diffrent.. so u got 1 balck guy in america that thinks its ok 2 be racist in europe lol immigration doesnt belong in europe i mean its not americ theirs gunna be problems
It is just like everywhere else: you see the alien in the street and you might smile... you have a chance to vote issues related to immigrants or aliens' treatment, you vote against! Ethnocentrism is part of the human condition.
There is no populous Spanish immigration in the United States of America, there is a lot of Hispanic/Latino immigrants, though. Spaniards don't usually migrate, since their country's economy is stable.
There's lots of Spaniards who've immigrated to the UK, Low Countries (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) and a few others. Mostly between the '60s to '80s though, as Spain is starting to catch up with the rest of Western Europe.
All the swiss have to do is look at Sweden, that might answer some questions for them.

This is what Democracy is all about. One side wants to help immigrants and, the other is against them being in the country.
Hurray for Democracy!
