In basic training they arrested me because I couldn't sleep. They took me to a hospital and admitted me to a mental ward. There I stayed all drugged up for 12 days. How can PTSD make someone turn into animal who rapes kids on a bus stop of all the places? So can PTSD really cause people do all kinds of cowardly acts? I don't think so - Some people just are psychotic and of course it is easier for the mother to say son has PTSD than call him a psycho rape-animal.
In order to honor true soldiers who are suffering because of PTSD, this animal should be send to see some real fighting in Afghanistan instead of paying his stay in prison with the taxpayer money.

We're so use to running from our messes, we run from country to country making dependents all over the place. Sometimes we don't even know what to do or how to do it. PTSD is honestly becoming a big cash and carry from some veterans. The ones with genuine PTSD have it because for the most part they weren't trained properly. Navy and Army guys coming back with real and fake PSTD isn't shocking at all. Point blank: they aren't trained correctly at all.
Most importantly, PTSD is not a free pass for rape or basic criminal behavior, ever. I suspect in the days to follow PTSD will become a major bargaining chip in this guy's defense in court.

In basic training they arrested me because I couldn't sleep. They took me to a hospital and admitted me to a mental ward. There I stayed all drugged up for 12 days. I don't have PTSD, I have TSD, because it isn't over. Living with it each and every day now. Traumatic stress from the shite we're going though these days as a result of the policies and actions, or lack thereof, of our gov't.
