Our presence in those countries simply fuels more hatred and extremism...

Politicians will do utterly anything to woo their flock. But perhaps Obama was also making a juxtaposition between the Christian Bible and the Qur'an? Perhaps he was addressing the ultranationalist skinheads out there that want nothing more than to burn sacred religious texts? Just my opinion.

He can also use gullible Muslims from around the world to help him become the One World president, because of the push towards a One World Government (i.e. European Union, African Union, etc.). @vudumojo Self defense, to me, implies stopping someone from using violence against yourself or another person. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are, at best, vengeance and at worst wars for profit. If the US had followed the teachings of Jesus after 911, radical Islamic extremists would have lost all support and we would have been seen as a great nation for showing compassion instead of vengeance. Our presence in those countries simply fuels more hatred and extremism...

If you start fighting with the bully, the world will just see you as two animals battling it out. @suiko2fan2 Well stated and absolutely factual, but the new generations are being taught by the atheist professors that the Bible was NEVER part of the founding documents and that separation of church and state means you have to leave the bible out, when nothing could be a greater lie.
Separation of church and state is there to prevent a State-Church, i.e. a federally mandated church of the state, because the government isn't allowed to tell a free people how and what to worship, period.

@0516millita Interesting, I used to believe that the rapture could happen soon too, but I've been reading a lot of Scripture that says a lot more has to occur FIRST, and that even the tribulation must occur first, which is in complete contradiction to the "left behind" doctrine that we used to all believe.
I'm listening less and less to preachers and reading more and more of the Scripture instead...
