I live for this moment on Flight Simulator! In 4 years I've gone from zero to 737 using STARs, GPS and Jeppesen airport charts. Maybe a lot of you see FS as a toy and you treat it as such, and that's fine...but for some of us who can't fly in RL and live for aviation, FS is good enough for those of us who want to enjoy the thrill. In case you haven't noticed, touch down time was almost perfect, approx 800ft beyond the two "fat" solid markers on the runway which are the aiming points.

What I wrote was in response to joathann who was trying to be funny. Anyway, I thought they disengaged the autopilot earlier in the approach. It looks like they're really close when it goes off.

Yeah well it can stay on even later in the approach, in a lot of cases you will even fly up to or past the DA on auto pilot, and in some instances auto pilot will remain on right through until after touch down, Emirates for example is never allowed to hand fly a landing unless its an emergency

After all reports it seems like 3 of those pilots were just sleeping in the plane and expecting the plain to land it self but this accident shows that u shoud never give 100 percent trust in machines ,those pilots were there to watch and check every little detail of the plane  for a safe flight! Ok the part of the plane which shows altitude was broken but about the Rest the Speed display could give them an idea about what to in right time !

Why it's a fault of the dutchs???? The Turkeys didn't repair the height thing what was al 2 times broken in 3 days. Then they fly to Holland and 2 minutes before the crash the engine was automaticly set on idle and the pilots where f*cking a stewardess or something because the didn't saw it! The Technic people don't work on that problem very well and the pilots don't even saw that the engines are set to idle. You can see that on your speed, altitude, the PAPI lights and you can hear it a litllebit. So they make a big mistake. To me it seems like it was a slight crosswind from the left.

I think the pilot kept the nosewheel of the centerline on purpose, to not run over the centerline lights, to avoid annoying bumps.
