  • lol the thing kevin does from the movie up at 0:40

  • lol the thing kevin does from the movie up at 0.40

  • What was that noise the parrot was making at 1:10? Mine does that too and I don't know hes scared or something.

  • @leahcimrac Parrots make that sound when they are horny. This is all part of their sexual behaviour.

  • @Chaif15Let Is there anything I can do for him while hes doing it? Not sexually of course.

  • @leahcimrac When you say "he", do you mean that your parrot is a boy, or you don't know for sure?

  • @Chaif15Let yeah sorry i naturally call it a he simply because we weren't sure and had to choose a sex lol. He's called Max which can be a boys or girls name.

  • @leahcimrac If you're a guy, and your parrot acts like that near you, then she's a girl, and she is attracted to you (if you know what I mean). You shouldn't let your parrot get so intimate with you. This will not do her any good. After all, she can't mate with you. :) When you pet her, only touch her beak and nothing else. In other words, reduce contact, and maybe she will eventually stop acting horny.

  • lol your grey like runs, my grey has never moved that fast on a flatish surface

  • I wish my parrot would behave like that. Mine hates me lol.

  • You have the ignore the bird when he does that, or react a bit ''angry'' not yell at him just say a short word like ''stop or ''no''. Usually birds know it by then that the behaviour isn't wanted.

  • My (female) grey does that panting thing too, and flattens her wings & back to me. It's cute and funny, she certainly isn't disturbed. It's all part of her normal playtime. She has regurgitated a few times, usually when I've wiped the sides of her beak (to clean it). Now I've taught her "wipe" (she says it too) so she knows I'm cleaning her and not asking her to regurge

  • You're so lucky. I love it when my baby does that to me.

  • Wow, that parrot is really boogying his way on top of that sofa! I've never seen my own African Grey move that fast!

  • The greatest compliment to be paid by a parrot is to have him regurgitate for you. That, in short, is true love.

  • by the bird throwing up it shows he is challenging you, he is dominating there isn't really anything you can do apart from what we did was got a female for him and if you do it soon enough you can nip it in the bud but if you leave it to late it can take years for them to bond. also if you suddenly stop showing him/her attention they will start hurting themselves, this is why I get annoyed about people who just buy parrots and do not look into their nature properly. there life span is 50 years

  • Every few days, mine does the same thing. Really, every few days. But mine sounds more like a monkey, while he's doing that.

  • This isnt a mating dance. What he is trying to do is reguritate for you. And yes, they only do it if they love you.

  • Just go with it. Mine is doing it a bunch lately!! Can't wait til it's over, cuz his claws do dig into me. He just is bonded with you.

  • Aww...so cute!!!

  • I only want to be a friend to my timenh, but he does this to me too. How do I get him to quit it?

  • I don't think you can get him to quit doing it. He just loves you very very much. It's pretty flattering I think. The only thing I would suggest is not to pet his feet or back a lot and limit the flirting time. I don't really know much about birds, only what I have learned over time with my Mom's bird. Hope that helps :)

  • Lol.... I guess its flattering, but a little akward too.... yeah, I do pet his feet sometimes, so maybe thats the prob. Thanks :)

  • @Spottedleaf492

He chooses his one mate ... and unfortunaty the boss is his mate ...

And mine did it yesterdag also ... I thought he was sick ... but after some information on a durch forum now I know its a mating dance ... you can be proud xxxx

  • omg!!

my parrot does that to me...

i thought he was being sick and wasnt well haha

    i got well scared!

so what does it mean? that he fancys you?lol

and is it not unusual for them to do the dance to humans?

  • I was told that it just means that your bird loves you very much. It is not unuaual for your bird to dance around and do the throw up thing, it just means that they think your pretty neat! My mom's bird still does the dance for me once in a while, but not as often as he did when I took this video.

  • wow wee :D thanks for that xx

  • oh i just realized yours does it too.

    lol

  • He doesn't actually throw up his food though, just looks like he's going to. He still does it though whenever I go to my moms. It's pretty funny. :)

  • lol oh my god! mine does this too i think it's creepy but im getting used to it now.

but mine like throws up her food when she's doing it? why?

  • my timney african parrot does the same thing to me, i thouth it was very strange at the beginning, but now i think it s really funny and nice.

  • I don't think it's a mating dance, our african gray does it too, I think it's more of a maternal thing, like it's trying to feed you.

  • HE IS SO CUTE!

  • Yup! Bird sees true love with you :)

mine does the same thing, I Have a video of her doing her mating dance too.

    Good video :D

  • My cag does that to me as well, but to my feet! So I wonder if he is in love with me or my feet! Nice cockatoo you got there as well!

  • thats so funny. i was cuddling with an AG today in the bird store and after some time he started making a weird sneezing noise like the one your did, he kept bobbing his head and then he regurgitated for me!! i should have bought him

  • lol he wants a girllll

  • freakin hilarious

  • gi6ee3a, sheeli shiira eedich chinha eed rayal.

  • LOL 7dah

  • Yes, this is classic sexual behavior in an African Grey and you should not encourage it, it only frustrates the bird. Please don't take this as a criticism, just education!

  • i have found my grey likes to immitate everything... he does the beak noise but i know it is not mating (too young). i also found he likes to talk to the morning crow and even shrills like one. that bouncing dance back and forth is probably an immitation of the cockatiel. mine hasnt tried batting my hand away though, he likes to just come up and nestle on my shoulder.

  • Look out! Love starved Grey on the loose!

  • LOL He still does that, is totally in love with me, every time I go over to my moms. Which isn't often. Greys are said to have very good memories so I'm guessing that is why he still loves me :)

  • Yes, he loves you, nd will wait until you come to visit! Parrots are good that way!

  • Great vid and I've rated it as 5 stars. Please check out mine on some 1930's Aviary and Cage Bird tobacco cards.

  • My gery Buddy does the same thing. I had never had a bird before so I didn't know what he was doing. My friend who has more experience with parrots had to explain it to me. Then I laughed so hard. Buddy was trying to mate with my arm...sheesh.

  • Our grey regurgitates on my husband every spring, during mating season. Hubby hates it. The grey is 12 years old. Cute video; that looks like a beautiful cockatoo, also.

  • had a cockatiel that did the same noises when my dad would come into the room....yikes!

  • my grey makes those noises all the time. it gets annoying after a while.

  • Your parrots are so adorable,

African Grays can be the most finicky birds, but also among the most affectionate!

  • Adorable! :]

  • My old gray Chole did that and a mating sound to my father all the time >.<;
