@HereticKain I don't know the details and I could be wrong. However we do know Inafune wasn't satisfied with what Capcom did to him. If you were in his shoes, would you keep working for a company that keeps treating you and your works in such a way? Not that that defends him but it gives him a very real reason to leave. I, as a programmer, realize how terrible these type of companies can be, and at times it cna be beyond unbearable.

Say the the Facebook group "100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Megaman Legends 3" pulls through, and Capcom ACTUALLY releases the game, its also imperative that you put in your word and purchase it. 100,000 individuals Xs 40.00$ U.S. (35.00$ Profit due to manufacturing costs, etc) would equal a little more than half a million dollah bills.

I think the lack of Megaman related material is just Capcom's personal attack on Keiji Inafune. There hasn't been a truly full Megaman game made since he left other than the one that was released to the mobile market. Didn't hear too much about that one though.

SFIV was hyped at first but people realized its a tier whore game. Then SSFIV and people realized its just to promote online scrubs. Then SSFIV AE came out and people quickly realized its back to tier whoring. I think Capcom just likes pissing off fans to create atmosphere. @HitoneToni I'll disagree, people still buy SF related things and thus making SF a markettable game. Capcom has focused way too much on advertising their fighters, in fact. And even if I agree SFIV is unbalanced, it wasnt poorly received by general reviewers and fans will still support the 60 vers it will come in.

I loved the series like crazy almost more than the regular ones since they gave the megaman and the rest of the characters some emotions and some character depth compare to the original. So the fact that they cancelled this is just sad.

Honestly, if they just released the Prototype without all the completely unnecessary delays to change Barret's look to be "manlier", or to decide a mascot, the prototype would've gotten so much sales. Sales that could've gotten the game green-lit, I know I had $10 on my 3DS since it launched just for the Prototype.

Well, I feel bad. Why did this have to happen?! I mean, the 3DS has not sold the best, but it would sell good with this game! Well, looks like we have to do what we do with the Mother games, beg and cry to get the games continued and released in America. It is not Capcom's fault that we did not get this (entirely). The game was not good, apparently. Although the Prototype looked complete, awesome and fun to play. Looks like we have to use ROM hacks and Fanfiction to keep the memory alive...
First Mega Man Universe, now this? I know we've been waiting for a game like Mega Man Universe to be made, but come on! Alot of people have been waiting 10 years for a sequel to Megaman Legends 2, and just when we're about to get it, they decide to cancel the project. It sorta makes me think Capcom's starting to give up making a great, new game for our blue bomber.

This....is just what happened with Sonic. When Yuji Naka left Sonic team, the games didn't have the same feeling. When Keiji Inafune left Capcom Mega Man Universe was cancelled, No version of Mega Man at all in Marvel vs Capcom 3, and now this travesty! Looks like Mega Man is gonna go in a slump for a few years until several years from now a real Mega man game will come out and revive the series. Why musy history repeat itself! Maybe it has something to do with Blue characters?

@Kevassa02 I meant the slump Sonic was in starting with Sonic 2006 until Unleashed where Sonic was getting great and getting back in top form. Its sad to see Capcoms greatest mascot is now going intoa slump of his own for a while. Probably the next real game we'll see Mega Man in will be Mega Man 11 which I hope will not be another 8-bit flash back. It tears me apart to see that Capcom would toss aside their main Mascot like this.

@Kevassa02 Well, the thing is, Yuji Naka helped produce Shadow the Hedgehog. You can't really say that Sonic's in the same boat. In fact, they kept releasing games despite how bad they were. Sega took a lot of chances by giving Shadow a gun, giving Sonic a sword, turning him into a werehog, and putting him in one of the buggiest games in the world.

@CatXFlame, just because it LOOKS good, it doesn't mean it is good. If you were a gamer, you would know that. Count how many games "looked good" and ended up being SHITE!. I saw the gameplay video and it was horrible... it wasn't like the previous two. The characters were shitty and blah blah blah.

SFIV was hyped at first but people realized its a tier whore game. Then SSFIV and people realized its just to promote online scrubs. Then SSFIV AE came out and people quickly realized its back to tier whoring. I think Capcom just likes pissing off fans to create atmosphere. Watch, when MML3 comes out Capcom will give us the finger by making it a horrible game. The question is how long can Capcom milk consumer idiots before they fall apart.

@HitoneToni I'll disagree, people still buy SF related things and thus making SF a markettable game. Capcom has focused way too much on advertising their fighters, in fact. And even if I agree SFIV is unbalanced, it wasnt poorly received by general reviewers and fans will still support the 60 vers it will come in.

But all things said, I'm still pissed MML3 got canceled. Its like: Here fans, you were so hyped and even helped make the game. Your hours of fan work will now be rewarded with a bitch slap with both our hands.

I loved the series like crazy almost more than the regular ones since they gave the megaman and the rest of the characters some emotions and some character depth compare to the original. So the fact that they cancelled this is just sad.

Honestly, if they just released the Prototype without all the completely unnecessary delays to change Barret's look to be "manlier", or to decide a mascot, the prototype would've gotten so much sales. Sales that could've gotten the game green-lit, I know I had $10 on my 3DS since it launched just for the Prototype.

Well, I feel bad. Why did this have to happen?! I mean, the 3DS has not sold the best, but it would sell good with this game! Well, looks like we have to do what we do with the Mother games, beg and cry to get the games continued and released in America. It is not Capcom's fault that we did not get this (entirely). The game was not good, apparently. Although the Prototype looked complete, awesome and fun to play. Looks like we have to use ROM hacks and Fanfiction to keep the memory alive...

First Mega Man Universe, now this? I know we've been waiting for a game like Mega Man Universe to be made, but come on! Alot of people have been waiting 10 years for a sequel to Megaman Legends 2, and just when we're about to get it, they decide to cancel the project. It sorta makes me think Capcom's starting to give up making a great, new game for our blue bomber.

This....is just what happened with Sonic. When Yuji Naka left Sonic team, the games didn't have the same feeling. When Keiji Inafune left Capcom Mega Man Universe was cancelled, No version of Mega Man at all in Marvel vs Capcom 3, and now this travesty! Looks like Mega Man is gonna go in a slump for a few years until several years from now a real Mega man game will come out and revive the series. Why musy history repeat itself! Maybe it has something to do with Blue characters?

@Kevassa02 I meant the slump Sonic was in starting with Sonic 2006 until Unleashed where Sonic was getting great and getting back in top form. Its sad to see Capcoms greatest mascot is now going intoa slump of his own for a while. Probably the next real game we'll see Mega Man in will be Mega Man 11 which I hope will not be another 8-bit flash back. It tears me apart to see that Capcom would toss aside their main Mascot like this.

I don't think they'll drop megaman alltogether but...this looks fucking horrible. the one game expected to come for 10 years, canned. I am not sure if to trust to have more quality games

@Kevassa02 Well, the thing is, Yuji Naka helped produce Shadow the Hedgehog. You can't really say that Sonic's in the same boat. In fact, they kept releasing games despite how bad they were. Sega took a lot of chances by giving Shadow a gun, giving Sonic a sword, turning him into a werehog, and putting him in one of the buggiest games in the world.

I feel sorry for people who worked so hard on this and had their designs approved. Their potential input is now wasted because of Capcom and their stupid decision. They never stated what the unmet criteria actually is when the article first went up and they're still not saying anything.
