Omg, social phobia. I have it too. :( Before I got into looking up info about it, I always felt very alone about this. Like, in my class it seems like I'm the only one who's deathly afraid of reciting or giving speeches and shiz. This really opened my eyes to the fact that I'm not the only one who's suffering. There's hope for all of us, tho.
wow your so gorgeous, i cant believe beautiful people like you suffer from this. i always feel like people are judging me because of looks. pleas help yourself your even more beautiful on the inside. peace lots alot love!!!!!!!!
Thank u so much for opening up. I love ur posts. They reassure me that I'm not the only one who feels like this. I've had SA since I can remember. Thank u again.
Hi, I've suffered with social phobia since i was 5 yrs old and it really sucks! i can relate with what you talk about in your videos. I really like your videos and i think you're very brave to do this :) best of luck!
This is like listening to myself. Everything, the self-consciousness when I speak. Never knowing what to say. I was bullied in 4th grade by my two best friends. They just started to pick on me for no reason after 3 years of friendship, and this was very traumatic for me, and I haven't been able to trust ppl and let my guard down since. There's so much I want to share (for once), but not enough space. I'm swedish too, btw, but I wanted to write in english so everybody could understand.
Don't worry about what you THINK others are thinking about you. Feelings aren't facts; just because you/they feel it, doesn't mean it's true. I considered myself kind of shy as a kid, at least that's what I called it. I grew out of it...lol! I just look at it this way, "One day no one's going to be around to remember me or care, so maybe they won't remember or care now about what I do. And even if they do, who cares?
Well, I don't think I suffer from SA, but I do like to watch these videos, just the same. When someone like me listens to you, I think to myself, "How beautiful she is, beautiful hair, sweet, innocent young lady, is all you have to be."
I really applaud your bravery. You are an intelligent and beautiful woman - seek help and know that there are people like me who morally support you.
I am 38 year old man, and by watching videos like yours I realized today that I have suffering from SA since I was 6 or ; even though I have been trying to hide it as much as as I can without seeking any help.
you are very strong girl, and even just sharing your own experiences will help people to share their own feelings to. It's always better to talk about things, it puts yours mind at rest.
Hey ,how are you ?Ihope that you be okey ,so Ijust want say that you are so stroger girl .Iwould like to know as friend and could share about ours situation maybe we coluld help each other .
I really think i am suffering from sa as well....I knew something was going wrong with me but I couldnt ever figure out what it was...but after reading about sa and looking at these videos i know thats what it is..I used to always wonder was there anyone else that felt the way I felt and after listening to all these stories it makes me cry because I thought I was alone in this...But listening to people like you really helps me and it makes me feel like I am not alone...
Know the feeling, been bullied and put down at school, work, college, Uni, etc, real can have a big issue on your life and decrease your self of steam, been there, done that, it can real hurt and effect the way you see you self, as it has to me too. Can see from your view point.
I hope you are doing better now, but there is always an answer to all problems even social phobia. there are ways to cope and eventhough you may not be a social butterfly you will be able to socialize an be happy. and by the way I also suffer from social anxiety but I am doing really well now that i learned some coping skills. good luck
My experience is similar, but not quite so "feminine-like" lol. My voice doesn't go quiet and weak. It just feels hard to release! Like I'll be talking pretty fluently, then all-of-a-sudden I'll come across a word that I find rather difficult to spit out of my mouth, lol! - It's actually pretty humerous when you really think about it; but at the same time, it's very annoying, and in a way, unfortunate. Yes, considerably so.
The worst is when you try to talk to someone and you end up trying to plan out what you say so you don't sound stupid. This usually has the opposite effect when I do it.
I know exactly what how you feel! It's really uncanny. The obsessive self questioning, that deer in the headlights feeling, but this is really great idea to try and overcome your social anxiety. Medications haven't done done shit for me, I really think the only way is to force yourself into these situations that cause anxiety, and keep in mind that just because other people act as if they're sore sorta deity, it doesn't mean that they' re worth your anxiety.
i had that to you need some coping skills to deal with it this what got me feeling a lot better stop fighting your anxiety in order to escape the anxiety trap that you are in; you must learn new ;non anxious behavior the anxiety trigger is couse by the amygdala a small organ in the centre of the brain these neural pathways are what store memory and habit both good and bad anxious behaviour is a habit controlled by the subconscios mind but able to react to conscious stimuli
I truly undertand how you feel and what you may have had to gone through. These words "trying to say...anything" have special meaning to me and when I think about them, it starts to hurt again... Can't stand the fact that it's so hard to do such a simple thing like talking to a person or being just a tad bit more social. Ran out of words. Don't know why I wrote this. Sorry for waisting your time. Guess all I can do is wish you good luck. Goodbye.
Hey! No I'm so glad you wrote this, it makes me feel much better knowing that I'm not alone feeling like this. I've felt so alone for so many years that I'm so grateful that I've found people who are like me and understand. So thanks for sharing. And good luck to you too :).
Hey, don't apologise for your comment. I feel you, we all do, your comment alone is worth more to me than any of the scum i have come across in the past that tries to prey on people like us in order to make themselves feel better. So thank you.
I "never had anything to say." People used to ask me, "why do you sit alone, away from us?" I never had any answer for them. The looks they exchanged for my silence....
I was moved around a lot at school; every year it seemed. Lost good friends as a result.
Impossible finding conversation with a camera lense I find. You made a terrific job of it though. The S.A. community is watching over you!:)
U're cute. Hard to imagine you having social problems... Anyway welcome to the SA "community". I believe u'll find it a warm and understanding group (we know what it's like to always be an outsider). Try to raise ur voice though cuz when I turn up the volume I get mostly that awful buzz which makes it hard to understand what u're saying. This could serve as practice for you to speak more confidently.
And u're not talking to urself. There are real ppl all over the world listening to u.
Opening up, seeking help and making this video proves you are a strong person who wants to recover.
I know it's incredibly overwhelming to open yourself up after years of living in a closed shell, but taking this first step will help to eliminate that feeling over time. There's an amazingly supportive community of Social Anxiety people here on Youtube who're going through the same things you are, and who can give you advice and comfort so you can continue to help yourself.

Little comment from a fellow sufferer:
"I have social anxiety.......it's not because i'm from Sweden" - made me smile.
On a serious note, think its really great you have the courage to put up these videos - hope everything is/gets better with you :). Keep posting vids!
