Hi Vicky, we think so and we do the 200 mlies round trip at least 5 times a year (been twice this year so far, have a look at "Brookside in the Snow 2010" on YT.
We also do Hollyoaks, about 4 miles from Brookie, best is Fridays between 4-7pm when the cast finish shooting for the day, most stop for a chat and picture.
Then we go into Liverpool and look round the Waterfront then to New Brighton for curry rice n chips by Perch Rock - a long but great day out.
Only just realised you replied, thank you so much for this :) I saw the snow one, didnt realise it was yours, looks fab :) Im going in a couple of weeks, but very scared as Ill be on my own. Going to try go in the houses too, aaaah! Hope its all safe.
bloody hell the size of that conifer now on the corner of the close!! its massive! what a shame to see the site in such a bad state! surely someone could do something with it? there is no excuse to have it left in such a mess as can be seen here!
Actually, the guy that bought the Close is actually doing it up. The state of disrepair that you see here, is merely the upgrading of the plumbing and electricity to each of the houses to make them functional and sellable.
"Poor Brookside Close" he said... They should have dropped a bomb on the thing years ago.

Hi again Vicky,
Hope you have a good trip, where are you travelling from?
If it helps, here's Brookie postcode for your satnav or Google - L12 0BA.
If you'd like to see some of our Brookside pics then have a look on FaceBook for Evie Airey (you may have to send a friend request) .
In daylight it's quite safe, just watch where you step, Try the doors, some may be open ! !
Anyway good luck and we'd love to see your pics or video.
Bye for now, Alan

thanks for your comment, yep you could walk all round and some of the gardens, we went again last month, see Brookside Close in the Snow 2010.
If you are in Liverpool, then have a look round cos it might be up for sale again.
Agree, brill soap and should be bought back, there's a site somewhere "bring back brookie" or try Phil Redmond direct.
Thanks, good luck, if you go, respect the neighbours LOL
