These Dual Subwoofers sound just fine.I own 4 Subwoofers.A Blaupunkt,Polk 1222 db, Sony XPlod and a Dual similar to these (that I have retired). The Dual was just fine but I decided to upgrade to the Polk and install a larger amp (1000 watt)
Any fucking way, no you're not going to compete at IASCA with ANY of these Subs but that isn't the point. The bass from your car should hit in and around your car, not in my fucking living room
What you dicks should be more concerned with is doing clean installs that are safe electrically. I've see some real sad sack installs on youtube.I would say why he didn't try to go overboard custom, his install is at least clean with no scratches on the amp from the install but the older box has taken a beating.
Everyone starts somewhere.I work with some of the most respected Installers in San Diego. They didn't start that way! Just be glad you can get decent quality for low prices these days!

@brandonleelaird I'm in favor of big subs and all (have a 15" Type R) but I totally agree. If it's what you want (nothing huge) go with whatever as long as the thing holds up and doesn't burn out after 48 hours (like my previous Volfenhaug sub). It's your car, do your own thing. I totally support that idea.
I think just many people bash on it because normally people put their high performance, competition grade sound systems on Youtube (at least that's what most think).
@brandonleelaird ya thats all i use mine for jl kicker and cerwin are basically rattle ur neighborhood subs and most have to be fixed or replaced in 2 yrs these duals i have or ur sonys will last a long ass time and wont need to be replaced unless ur looking to upgrade
@brandonleelaird If you actually listen to some of the woofers offered by the 'brand names' then you would be able to tell why Xplods are typically regarded as POS, and if you honestly can't tell the difference in how a Xplod sounds and say my Digital Designs 2512 sounds you should get your hearing checked.. Another thing, in my opinion its kinda ignorant to by Xplods when for the same price you could get RE Audio or Cerwin Vega.

I've talked around with tons of people that have jl's and I know a guy thats had the same set for a couple years now that get pounded everyday and have held up nicely. If your running those four subs off the one amp they might not be getting over powered explaining their duration.

@superjoker102 hook the power to the led to the remote wire spot on the amp and it'll turn on and off when u power on ur car ground to the ground thats how i had it hooked up before i got the right amp that has a led harness for them installed into the amp

@zachbeck2022 why not just get 2 type r 15s you can run them on a 1600 rms amp small extra battery and your good man less your doing comp.s keep it simple and sweet type r's are some of the loudest lowest hitting and durable subs out there for the money but its your system
this is what im wantin to get. i know theyre component speakers are pretty good cause ive got those and a dual headunit in my car. and i got the dual xdvdn8920 in my truck. but are theyre subs good do they handle low frequencies very well and high frequencies cause i know some speakers will work good high and not low and vice versa. and for all these people hatin on dual screw um theyre just mad cause its cheaper than theyre $1000+ systems
@xXBrianWalkerXx try fitting 2 sony 12s and an audiobahn 15 in a small blazer, not fun lol.. but i love my sonys for the lows, they pick them up very well. the 15 does pretty good, but its made more for mid range bass to be loudest.
nice and clean setup there, mine doesn't look as great but hits like a mofo. i run 4 10" fusion power plants1500watts max per speaker, in 2 different dual ported boxs, powered by 4 independent 2000watt lanzar amps mono bridged. i have them all wired to one bass knob and tuned in. 4 capacitors and dual 12v batteries. soon to put in my 3rd alternator.

@PrestonWolff09 ya sux i coulda got l7's instead but i bought these instead cause they looked cool and i knew nothing about car audio back then and i was still in high school so i was just looking for the show off kinda thing more then the bang now if i could do it all over i woulda gotten a single 15 inch l7 and fully powered it with the right amp i also woulda gotten componet speakers that came with the little breaker and woulda converted the 6x8 to 51/4 round speakers in the door with tweeter
@zachbeck2022 yeah thats for the most part what i did with mine. i'm not finished yet but i replaced my door speakers with pioneer 6x9's with tweeters and i will add one more duel sub then an amp and call it good. i only have a little ford ranger so that much of speakers is plenty enough lol

@allsports2121 for the leds i'd run a wire to where ur remote gets attached u should put a wire in there and wire the wire up to the front of ur car and attach it to a toggle switch and then run it back to the positive side of ur led then run from the negative to the ground of the amp

What you dicks should be more concerned with is doing clean installs that are safe electrically. I've see some real sad sack installs on youtube.I would say why he didn't try to go overboard custom, his install is at least clean with no scratches on the amp from the install but the older box has taken a beating.
Everyone starts somewhere.I work with some of the most respected Installers in San Diego. They didn't start that way! Just be glad you can get decent quality for low prices these days!

@brandonleelaird I'm in favor of big subs and all (have a 15" Type R) but I totally agree. If it's what you want (nothing huge) go with whatever as long as the thing holds up and doesn't burn out after 48 hours (like my previous Volfenhaug sub). It's your car, do your own thing. I totally support that idea.
I think just many people bash on it because normally people put their high performance, competition grade sound systems on Youtube (at least that's what most think).

I've talked around with tons of people that have jl's and I know a guy thats had the same set for a couple years now that get pounded everyday and have held up nicely. If your running those four subs off the one amp they might not be getting over powered explaining their duration.

nice and clean setup there, mine doesn't look as great but hits like a mofo. i run 4 10" fusion power plants1500watts max per speaker, in 2 different dual ported boxs, powered by 4 independent 2000watt lanzar amps mono bridged. i have them all wired to one bass knob and tuned in. 4 capacitors and dual 12v batteries. soon to put in my 3rd alternator.

@allsports2121 for the leds i'd run a wire to where ur remote gets attached u should put a wire in there and wire the wire up to the front of ur car and attach it to a toggle switch and then run it back to the positive side of ur led then run from the negative to the ground of the amp

dude, im not even gonna lie, it looks badass, but there is now way it can run with my two 15s, all because of the sub boxes, get some decent boxes move the leds somewhere else in the car, and try out an extra battery,
capasitors are pointless,

@shaggysuicide1 ya i know that now i still have it hooked up to a 2 farad cap right now but i only have 1 box again one day when i get money again i'll rip everything outta that car and start from scratch because right now it's a waste of money and i'm not happy

@ZandD i would and have my friend had me build his box for 4 dc audio 18's i forget the exact model but i did that over a yr ago and his system would shit on alot of ppls systems and his shit was under powered like a mother fucker

@zachbeck2022 well thats good. I'm glad you know what a real system is then. It doesn't seem like it when your talking about your system and you say "It's rediculous" and "It's really fucking loud." Your friends system would shit on your system more than mine.

@ZandD this video was simply made to show the subs i personally don't give a fuck if they are good or not to be honest but i only said that because at the time they were very good to me and alot of ppl i knew

@TheLtdan93 didn't need it at the time so i just did it for the fun of it looked nice and as i said in a previous post the system was fun to show off at night and make some vw tuner kids awe over it when me and a buddy would roll up in my truck and his subaru

@nickmx555 ya it is ok i have just the one again now so i'll have to make a video again just a matter of having someone with me so i can turn up the volume because i need to have someone rev the engine because ford doesn't make a strong enough alt and the remy one i have is only good for up to 165amps a 2rpm so and the system min needs that really need a 200amp alt but i can't find one for my 1999 ford explorer xlt with the 5.0 v8 i can only find the one for the v6
