  • We had a very bad snow storm and we had to go somewhere and our explorer did PERFECT!

  • I was in a side crash with mine. Saved my 3 year old son from getting hurt.... If only they built them with a decent transmission which didn't slip and hesitate.... Safe Piece of junk!!!

  • @jaffacakes

can't tell from this specific video, but i think they were optional for this gen explorer

  • when some say that ford is safe i really don´t get what they mean..

  • well you are stupid if you think ford is not safe, as it is the safest car maker with the most 5 star crash testratings

  • i have the same car and its got awesome traction systems and anti roll system

  • I think i will stick with my excursion!

  • what kinda car is taht taht crash into the frod explorir

  • it is a special rig that represents the average SUV/truck bumper height

  • They have new technology that stops the explorer from rolling. I just got a new one and it is solid as a rock.

  • Well, it is safe because of it's height. SUVs are very high, and that makes them safer in side crashes. But of course, without side airbags, they are nothing.

  • this does have side airbags!

  • It wasn't even going to roll over, it started to go the other way.

  • It almost look like it was going to roll over.

  • Amen man, thats what Explorers and other SUVs do when their upper weight gets transferred during a side impact, its no coinsidence that the video cuts off before the truck stops.

  • Very true thats why I dont like SUV`s

  • it doesnt roll over ive seen the full video, the risk isnt as bad as people think

  • i think it has more do with the suspension, suvs suspension is soft to deal with there weight, suvs with stiff suspension arn't much worse then cars, but any car, truck,or suv can roll easily under the wrong curcumtances.Suvs tend to drift, and its when the driver counter steers that they tend to roll.
