@glcoach big difference between releasing the "face" and the shaft angle. Every pro comes into impact with forward shaft lean and the face releases to some degree.
@charlie11116 Charlie: the broom is absolutely square at impact and so is the club- you can square the club face without throwing the shaft angle forward!
thanks John, as long as the club is moving down through impact you will get back spin but the "feel" is that the club head is definitely staying behind the hands!
Release the clubhead. Trying to get that much shaft lean is unathletic, not powerful and hinders a golfers progress.
Modern science has debunked much of this TGM theory.

I agree it is square at impact, but after impact right arm should release over left arm, not be open as in video.
