no mention of the great Eddie "Lip" Clark? The greatest feel drummer, always listening to instrumentalists. This is is the lesson for aspiring guitar and rhythm players, and refer all to anything Kid Andersen has done, and anything with AS or EC!
Hey Alex - great to see you playing a Strat! I saw you twice when you visited London with the Mighty Flyers in 1988 (I think) - when are you coming back?
this bass player is the great "mississippi' mike hightower - my favorite partner in crime for a rhythem section - anytime a drummers lucky enough to be on a bandstand with him - he's going to play better - and if you just let yourself relax and lock with his groove, the band is going to sound better - he's one of the best
COOL...! Alex rules..!! As a harp player in the UK i can tell you guitarists like Alex are rare as hens teeth.I got to jam with ZACH ZUNIS in Long Beach and he tore it up.The West Coast Blues Players Rule..Thanks For Posting.
i think your a bit mistaken iv'e seen and heard all your west coast guitar players you haven't heard ray penny he lives in ny born and raised and i know hollywood and all the rest aren't gonna fool with him trust me when i tell you RAY PENNY will torch anybody in a 50 miles radius don't get too close brother not to mention guys like bob gallo willie pollock danny heck and dan marks all of whom will play that guitar till itr smokes FACT
Cant believe this treasure trove.. Lester Butler rehearsing live and as was only proper a hot pick up band..Played the Maloe Meloe a lot while I was livin in Netherlands..Great to see it again- a real dive- tons of atmosphere-just as I like em..Thanks for vid Harpsucker and praise be for You Tube..
Actually he put out 3 CD's! He had one with the Red Devils and Mick Jagger called "The Nature Of My Game"!!! It's a VERY tough one to find, but well worth having if you are a Red Devils or Jagger fan! It's 21 tracks of classic covers (12 studio tunes, some with several takes). The mix leaves a bit to be desired, but still a very cool CD!
I'm not Alex but I saw him once and he played an Epi Rivera straight into a '57 Twin ... that's it. He plays .012 strings and has his guitars set up with high action BTW
hey thanks for the good words! there are lots of clips of me out there, especially with Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers, but I don't know about up on youtube- thanks again- A.S.
I love it.....Lester looks completely...hmmm....out of it..
and at home...if you get my drift!

they played at maloe melo in amsterdam, one of the nice music spots in adamned.
Eddie clark is indeed the greatest feel drummer.
Greets to jur scherpenzeel, he owns the place and is a big music lover.
We played there a couple of times with our band always fun to play there.
greetz from driving south.
