The actor who played the King Of cartoons during the show's 1st season also played James Avery's father on an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-air.

The actor who played the King in the first season was Gilbert Lewis. And yes, he did played James Avery's father on the Fresh Prince. He also played one of the detectives in the first Candyman movie.

I'll never forget when my father decided to take the role of the King of Cartoons at the behest of his nephews. He and Paul Reubens had their differences, but he did enjoy it.
