i played the polar bear system when in chicago had a team chess tournament where a low rated payer teamed up with a 1800 or so. And I played the polar bear system in two of my games(each game was like 2/3 wins, and there was a time limit of 5 minutes. I played a blunder that my partner showed me but my opponent didn't capitalize on it, and I ended up winning the game andtaking his king. It was about 6 rounds 4 wins and 1 loss. Anyway, it was a good game :) Just sharin' it with ya guys!
At around 4:00 could you have played c4? I wonder know if it's any good but atleast to me it seems to open the queenside a bit. And your opponent could have fallen into the 1.- bxc4 2. Bxc4 dxc4 3. Nxc4+ trap :)
Well, I would be surprised why he wouldn't at least forward my suggestion about the Polar Bear System to her. I would imagine she'd like to hear about a new system especially since it does allow White added tempo. I can tell you right now...that if Kramnik had tried The Polar Bear on Anand with White...the result would have been different and Kramnik might have regained the title.
I've been playing the Polar Bear System on FICS. I've run into problems when opponents who've learned about this setup reply by playing the Hippo. GM Danielsen still hasn't released his ebook on this opening. I'm wondering why. BTW, the Polar Bear is merely the Dutch Leningrad with a tempo more as White. It's curious why GM's don't play this opening sytem as it's relatively new. I once asked GM Susan Polgar on her blog about this opening and she didn't reply. Strange.
The Hippo sounds like it would be an okay means of fighting the Polar Bear. I prefer a London setup for Black with ..Bc5 after White has committed to d3.
Don't hold your breath, I know several high profile chess players don't maintain their own web presences. In the case of Susan Polgar, her blog is probably run by her husband, FM Paul Truong.
I assure you though, everything you see on my YouTube channel is written by me :-)

its the bird opening the polar bear system is some bs people try to add to the game making uo new names and new openings never heard of the polar ever in the chess world you never hear oh garry kasparov play the polar bear system omg wtf how came up with that sht
No you fail. Bxc6 is simply met with Qxc6, there is no opportunity to win the Queen. There are plenty of opportunities to improve my analysis but if you decide to try at least check your work.
i enjoy ur videos very much. the commentary of ur blitz games are EXTREMELY helpful for knowing wat to think about during a game. so plz keep up the good work:D
So true. I enjoy your posts and games. I have also tried the polar bear with mixed results as I don't know all the lines as yet and find myself in unfamiliar territory alot. However it does appear to be a good system in capable hands.
Its the birds opening not polar bear system. AMERICANS HAVE TO RENAME EVERYTHING DONT THEY? The birds openning is named after a english player in the 19th century. Also g3 is like a lenigrad dutch with white, a very sharp system.
You should probably try to play better players. It seems that you play only patzers. They seem to play moves that only make there position worse. No strong player would play most of the moves your opponent played.
My favorite lines are the reversed Leningrad Dutch lines where Black puts pawns on d5 and c5. I'm not really comfortable with the lines where Black plays ...Nc6 early (as you can tell in this game).
i think this is draw...

When you played (?) Nd2, When black played Kb7, I should have pushed c4 pawn. here is how it would work. whitemove blackmove
1. c4 - bxc4
2. bxc4
You win a pawn there white can't capture with dxc4 because that pawn is pinned because queen attacks king indirectly.

5.Ne5 Bxd1 6.Nxd7 Kxd7 7.Kxd1 e6 and White has no advantage, he shouldn't trade too much material too soon.
