  • Correction, spider mastermind was in doom 3 resurrection of evil. Just pointing it out.

  • Whats really weird is that the "The Forgotten ones" look like lost souls.

  • i find Imps the most annoying

  • @deaddude207 I find Commando's annoying and large flocks of lost souls and Pain Elements.

  • @m14g good choices i hate them as well

  • Mancubuses are fat.(Oh and for Fatso, its fatter then Mancubus)

  • WHAT THE FUCK CACODEMON COULD BE IN DOOM AND DOOM II

  • 2:00 my favorite monster ....awwww youuuu ^^

  • Comment removed

  • the dead imp from Doom64 has a big @sshole in the animation. always bothered me when i was playing.

  • Cyberdemon the bane of my childhood, probably the coolest villian in videogame history

  • I hated how the Doom3 models bear no resemblance to the original games. That was the main reason I was excited about the game, seeing what the updated versions looked like but they were pretty stupid.

  • Doom 3 was fucking terrible.

  • @Uristdorf Preach it.

  • @Uristdorf i second that

  • doom for the win

  • Has anyone tried the blackberry playbook version of doom? It only has "knee-deep in the dead". It sucks

  • Doom 64 sucks -.-

  • First: Former Commando aka Former Chaingunner is from Doom 2, not Doom 1

    Second: Revenant, not Revanent

Third: Pain ELementals are from Doom 2 too, not Doom 1!

Fourth: Spider Mastermind is from Doom 1, not Doom 2! God damn it, haven't you beaten Doom?

  • god this music is so cheesy. the psx really improved on the music

  • i use to kill space marines but i took an arrow to the knee

  • I normally bitch when people put crappy unrelated music over their game videos, And the fact that he actually used Doom music is a step up, but god DAMN this track is repetitive.

  • You forgot some enemy's and doom games but still great video.

  • Wow. The 64 and 3 just plain suck - don't look anything like the originals. The original DOOM (I/Ultimate through Final Doom) characters were awesome by far. The new ones just suck.

  • @FascistFrenchman I was thinkin that same exact thing

  • cacodOmon (DOOM 3)?

  • 4:32 You can see the imp's asshole

  • What about S.S. Shwabbass from DOOM II and Commander Keen From DOOM II

  • I like them all!

  • I found the demons more disturbing in Doom 3 as a whole...I didn't like the Coco-Demons, that much...I loved the former humans! I wished there was a larger variety or them.

  • @63legendary The Cacodemons looked too much like Octobrains from Duke Nukem 3D in Doom 3.

  • @DXSnakeEater True...I actually loved the Imps and Pinky

  • doom 64 wuz the shit !!!!

  • @chicanochula1989 YUP YUP MAN! INTERNET HIGH FIVE! lol i agree definitely.

  • you should have shown the forgotten ones from doom 3 resurrection

  • lol q2 vortex really god great ideas from doom like the cacodemon and the hellspawn(lost soul)

  • Doom 64 was an awesome game, but the enemies were kinda whack. Plus the cacodemon in doom 64 looked like the Pain elemental.. o_O I was hoping doom 3 would take these designs, and stick faithful but they didn't...

  • Gets more creepier and retarded with every game.

  • the hell knight and the cacodemon at doom 3 are terrible... i mean, crapy. where the hell are the hell knith's horns? and the cacodemos are like a flying stone... lol

  • @hurakannaranja I thought the Hell Knight looked badass.

  • Doom 64 enemies are so damn ugly. My favourite is Doom 3 altough the enemies in Doom 1 and 2 are looking the best.

  • LOL didnt know that quake 2 had so much doom references!

  • YOU NEVER GET ANY BETTER THAN DOOM2!!!!!!!!

  • the monsters of d1/d2/d64 look much better/more frightening compared to their d3 versions:

    - pinky 64 REALLY looks like a monster, not as ridiculous as in d3

    - imp 64 looks haunting, d3 imp has too much eyes

    - same with cacodemon (great in d1/d2), horrible look in d3

    - most terrifying enemies are missing in d3: arachnotron, spider mastermind, pain elemental

    - the only one that like is the archvile, he looks great in d3

  • Cyberdemon in Doom 3 looks fucking awesome

  • doom 64 baron of hell is amazing

  • is it weird i think the doom 3 cacodemon is adorable?

  • We shouldn't wish 4 people to hell for disliking the video for THEY'RE ALREADY IN HELL! MWAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • the lost souls are better in doom 3

  • 64 demons look more intimidating than the origionals.

  • doom 64 looks retarded

  • Why the heck do you compare them? They are similar!

Demon in Doom 64 is massive but in Doom 3 it`s called Pinky Demon and it`s very different from the original Demon.

I think that Doom 3 does not have spectres...

  • I hate Revenent.

  • The Archviles scare the hell out of me

  • wow, now I know alot of diffrence between the monster's from the old school doom and the newer version of doom.

  • @TranshumanCyborg Oh and one more thing, I agree that the lost soul looked better as a skull well they did make something like it, But its not a lost soul i think its called dead soul?

  • @BrBrRecon I think it's called a "Forgotten One"

  • @TranshumanCyborg You mean because in the PC version you can do stuff like god mode notarget noclip ect, But in the xbox there was no cheating?, (atleast i dont think there is) Or is it the pack with the new demons? *sigh* if only they included the spider mastermind

  • the baron of hell is in doom 3. its an add-on

  • You forgot the Doom 3 expansion. The new grunts, the special bosses, can't remember if there are more...

  • MAGGOTS!

  • although i do love doom 1 and 2 i think ddom 64 had the best level design but that is understandable since the engine allowed for rooms on top of rooms

  • i love the doom 64 demon (pinky)

  • @spacecoke Me 2

  • @websiteownertyrific doom 1 is thar best :3

  • @MarioSnail007 Calm down, dude...

  • thank you sooo much for making this I thought it was going to be hard finding these monsters yet one video later here I am!

  • @dismemberednecromorf No problem! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • For Doom 4 they definitley need to make the Cacodemons look more like the original. It's too classic to keep messing with. Also, BRING BACK SPIDERDEMON!

  • All of the DooM 3 enemies look like abominations, there suposed to be from Hell, not from a lab!

  • Say, if you make another one of these Doom Enemy Comparison videos, could you add Icon of Sin? He seems to be in most of the games. He even makes an appearance in Doom 3. Thanks for reading this in advance.

  • I don't like the D3 CyberDemon.

  • I live that you used the original theme in your video. I hate watching Doom video's with some rap song for this epic gory game.

  • @themegautubewatcher I think you meant "love", but, in any case, I am glad you liked that! I hate it when videos use music unrelated to the topic at hand.

  • personally i think all the enemy's in doom 64 looked like shit

it was my biggest problem with a game that didnt have much else i liked about either

good video though nicely put together

and as for the guy complaining about the naming convention you used i think you did the right thing by changing the names you needed to compare similar enemys (there are many who were based on eachother regardless of name)

  • @shadowscrawl I am happy you liked the video, but I grew up on Doom 64, playing since before preschool, so Doom 64 kinda has a special place in my heart - including the monsters, but I can see why you would like the original design better.

  • Comment removed

  • @shadowscrawl hmmm i dont recall what i said here but i cant imagine it was so bad it warrented comment removal (especially since like i aid above i liked this video)

  • Former Humans (unarmored) in Doom 3=Zombies. Former Humans (armored)=Z-Sec. "Demon" in Doom 3=Pinky. Flaming Zombies are included in the Zombie family and the Chainsaw Zombies are included in the Commando Zombie family.

  • The thing with the enemies is this:

    Doom 1 and 2: OK.

Doom 64: The designer went for something more cartoonish, you know, like exaggerating the "demonic" details.

Doom 3: They went for the humanistic design, showing the demons like a mutated version of the humans they were before.

  • Revenants are my most hated enemies. I like them because they are skeletons and remind me of the Vore from Quake. But unlike the Vore, the Revenant's homing missiles are super powerful. Everytime I hear their shriek, I just run away. Thank god they have only 300hp or else they'd be the single greatest evil in all the world.

  • @QullVideo Haha! I hate them, too. I seldom use them in my Doom maps...

  • doom 3 caco is just a big ol floating beachball and the original Cacos a big red thingie...I prefer the doom 64 one...

  • @TrevorCBelmont the original cacos are cool too... the others are small...

  • @nahiyanm

to each their own I suppose.

  • I think the original enemies looked by far the best. I was disappointed that they didn't include the revenant or the archvile or the spider mastermind in doom 64.

  • @chwiteboy The only original monsters in Doom 64 is the Nightmare Imp and the Mother of all Demons.

  • @websiteownertyrific Yes I know that, I meant the monsters from doom 2 when I said the original monsters.

  • @chwiteboy They tried to put them into the N64, but that would be too much memory for the N64 that it wouldn't play ... In other words, the Nintendo 64 couldn't handle that much Doom :D

  • @chwiteboy Revenant in DOOM 3 looked good....

  • @chwiteboy Well they wanted to but did not have enough memory, I am glad I didn't get the chance to meet Revenant and Arch-Vile. But you at least have the UNDOER!

  • @chwiteboy It was due to memory limitations, otherwise they would have been. But I see what you mean.

  • The Lost Soul in DOOM III looks like Vagineer.

  • Nice to see how many enemies they left out of Doom 3, that game was honestly a disappointment. Lucky they created the Doom 3 classic mod that turns the game into the original so it doesn't suck as bad.....

  • SOme of the names are wrong sorry dude but you failed

  • @netoec ??? If you say so. :/

  • @websiteownertyrific you failed

  • @websiteownertyrific He is right. The demon isn't demon. It's pinky.

  • @themegautubewatcher I map for Doom, so I've seen all of the game's internal data. The monster is "Demon"; Pinky is just a nickname used by fans and the team that made the Doom movie.

  • @themegautubewatcher wrong, it is simply demon, pinky is a nickname given by fans

  • @netoec who cares if he spelled the names wrong? nobody is perfect - if you are too stupid to understand what he means then get the hell off the video.

  • @Terr0rFox i care and lots of people do, your right im not perfect neither do you, the names are wrong.

  • @Terr0rFox I spelt something wrong!? Where?

  • @websiteownertyrific not a big deal --- or important anyway, i know what you mean, -- cacodemon at doom 3 - Says cacodomon, - revenent from doom 2/3- should be revenant - not a name bug -- but pain elemental at 3:22 should be (doom 2) - there is no pain elemental in doom 1 - only lost souls - its not a big deal - We know what you mean or try to say and that is what count - if people are stupid to not know what you mean - they should look up doom wiki if it buggers them too much.

  • weren't they called "Zombie","Shotgun Guy","Heavy Weapons Guy" and "Pinky"?

    (Just a question)

  • @andrixbooom That's what most people call them, but their names are actully demon, spider mastermind, imp, former commando and so on. But calling them pinky, heavy weapons guy, shotgun guy are easier to remember and funnier to call'em.

  • @TheMercWithThaMouth I got it clearer now.thanks a lot =)

  • @andrixbooom Nah problemo!

  • My favorite Doom 64 enemy is the Pain Elemental, because they look so badass.

  • @Doommaster1994

    Agreed

  • Intro song?:) i have the doom2 soundtrack but i can't find this one,grr..

  • @TheHaos1 I believe its a mix of the SNES port of Doom. The drums werent so prominent in the original. Look it up, the SNES had the best sound track of all the consoles.

  • @GalitUnggoy Thanks for the reply but i found it at last,it's called "At doom's gate" and it's from the first Doom,i hope that helps :)

  • You forgot the mother demon in Doom 64. But other than that great job.

  • @MarioSnail007 I'm the dumbass? I complained about Doom 3's cacodemon almost exclusively. I included Doom 64's but I don't have much of a beef with it and that's the only sprite of the two. I'm 26 and i grew up with Doom so stfu.

  • doom 64 sprites were pathetic for their time

  • Um, you kinda messed up the Spider-robots name.

They're called Spider Masterminds, not Arachnotrons

  • @LegionOfMany112 the 1s on the 64 game were called arachnotrons. spider masterminds were only on the older doom games.

  • Cacodemon in 64 and Doom 3 look like shit.

  • @iovandrake Your opinion, I guess.

  • @websiteownertyrific You guess correct. That was my opinion. I don't really have much of a problem with any of the other enemies from either 64 or 3. I really just don't like the look the caco got in 3. I liked the size, color, and slower movement of the original cacodemon.

  • @iovandrake Makes sense.

  • @iovandrake I like all Doom 2 enemies way better than the other Doom games.

    Cacodemon looks epic :D

  • @websiteownertyrific the spider mastermind is in a way comparable, there is i think one of them ultimate doom (or doom 1)

  • @websiteownertyrific I agree with him although I do like the Cacodemon from doom 3 the Doom 64 one looks like complete shit.

  • @iovandrake More like "All the monsters in Doom 3 look like shit". They all look so grey and uncreative. If you ask me Doom 3 It completely ruined the franchise with it's "horror" crap filled with monster closets and lights that turn off.

  • @pmanderson That was their attempt to avoid the "it's just like old Doom" criticism that game critics would level at them. Which those critics said that anyway. Doom 3's enemies as a whole are bland and uncreative I agree. Most of them didn't piss me off as much as the Caco though. Which looks and acts so different it might as well be a new monster.

On top of closets/lights don't forget the spooookey sounds and spooooooookey voices! lol

  • @iovandrake Yeah, and that turned out well. They like lost half of their Doom fanbase instead. But yeah, you're right. And the Cacodemon is my favourite monster from the first Dooms, so I completely agree on that one too.

  • The ticks... The fucking ticks...

  • Three people clicked a centimeter to the right of the Like button by accident while shaking in their seats at the site of the Cybie.

  • @NexusHUBMusic As much as I enjoy Skulltag, that's kinda more of a fanbased run off.

  • I'd love a Doom mod that makes all the monsters look like they do in Doom 3. Only Former Humans have better design in the original games, IMO. Maggots, trites and wraiths would also be cool in The Ultimate Doom.

  • @Joymani They do have a doom mod like that. o.O I'm a mapper, so I guess I'd know. Try playing a wad version with the SuperDoom3.pk3 mod. Ha, if that makes any sense to you. :P

  • srry about my last comment i realised that most enimes look the same form the bad graphics

  • not being an asshole but you left versions some out and the pink thing at 0:49 isnt a demon its an alien (ur on a mars base in the ame) at the end of the first episode u go to hell and see demons

  • @101cgk its called a "Pinky"

  • @101cgk Hey, I map and I've played all the games. THEY ARE CALLED DEMONS. That's what their lump is named and in the storyline, they come from a hellgate opened up during teleportation research. So, it's a demon.

  • men te hizo falta el hell imp ke a mi parecer es el ekivalente al nightmare imp

  • at 5:12 that .......demon thing kind of looks like the baron of hell from DOOM3

    (minus the horns)

  • @TheSkullAssassin Yeah, I think it's a fake. It was made after Doom 3.

  • @TheSkullAssassin LOL, it's the Cybie from D64.

  • i realy never knew that midway made DOOM64

  • @TheSkullAssassin Yeah, it took me by surprise at first, but iD did supervise. (I assume...)

  • Doom 3's enemies are great except in one significant way: expression. So many of them have a blank emotionless expression, in many cases not even having eyes. Revenants and especially Arch Viles are the only exception.

  • @Sahuagin True dat.

  • Never liked the original pinky, imp, and elemental.

Doom 64 improved them a lot visually, especially elemental.

Doom 3 seriously made pinky terrifying, and imps behave in a way that makes them scarier and harder to fight than a brown naked guy with a big mouth walking around throwing fireballs.

Imp's looks were best in Doom 64 in my oppinion because they have an assassin feel to them.

What Doom 3 did to Hell Knight was the best thing ever though. Wish there was a baron version.

  • @theant1987 You pretty much just summed up my opinions as well. xD

  • and you forgot the vulgar, bruiser and other too. u should have added Resurrection of evil too

  • @WhisperingDeath90 Sorry, never played ROE just yet.

  • u forgot the lost soul from re. it was made to look like the original lost soul. liked em better

  • @WhisperingDeath90 True dat.

  • Where'd you get the music?

  • @iammishahearmeroar LOL, just Googled the songs. Oh, the magic of search engines!

  • @websiteownertyrific I meant these remixed versions. XD

  • I like Doom 64's enemies the best. the pinky/bull demon looked way more scary before doom 3 imo

  • @Brandon5l9 I may just agree...

  • The thumbnail for this video is the exact same as one of my videos.

  • @supercool126 Creepy...

  • at 2:19 the ortograph is "revenant"(in french that mean who come back from the dead)

  • @tyler1leboss Um, that's an interesting fact.

  • doom 3 monsters are epic fails... doom 64 monsters kicks ass but none are better than the original ones!
