love my barbours but dred th -wxingtime of the yer. usualy do it in summer all at once. spem a day doing he 3. each time i seem t be getting better. doeas anyw=obele 'was' their barbour wax in the shoer, when its in cold. just thrash the inside n out with cold water scrubbing heresof wera. leave a day in the drying cuobaord. then foollow the usual waxing process. so ou have a clean re-waxed arbour. doesnt seemto have causd me an issues.that way you get the cord collarsetc. fresh n axe, cant bebad
@petertranart its really easy,do it with a piece of bath sponge sooner than a cloth, rub into seams well, and blow over with a hairdryer or leave in a warm room when done.So easy its unbelievable.Done my jackets times many.
Ah, a non-ironic manly man doing real man things. Hurrah. Brooklyn hipsters would foam at the mouth if they saw this ad. I won't be showing them to give any ideas though...
Barbour rules. Had 3 different coats over 15 years and would never be without one. Love the rewaxing process. Feels like a meditative right of passage.
@soundlanguage Thank you for the kind comment. Our love for Barbour is authentic and it's great to hear that it comes across. Dane is a super manly man, he built Lark with his own two hands while nursing a broken ankle. He can drive a 1990 Ford Ranger with a golf cart steering wheel and summer tires in an East Coast snow storm. He's driven a dirt bike into a Lake and won a charity event by smoking a Tur-duck-a-corn-a-quale-a-con. You name it and he can build / fix / invent it.
Wow, this is truly impressive. It certainly beats me walking the dog in a thunderstorm. Anyways, its always good to have your trusty Barbour jacket ready.
Thank you, this has been a great help. I've tried rewaxing my jackets but it has ended up being very patchy. Your video is really simple to follow and will help me fix the problem. Cheers mate!
The jacket we used is a classic Beaufort with hood. Dane, the owner of Lark and star of the film is also wearing a quilted waist coat with classic tartan lining to match his Beaufort.

That's a brilliant video. The epitome of manliness. I love my Barbour jacket to bits, but am unsure whether I will rewax it myself.

How often should you re-wax your Barbour Jacket? I've had mine for about 2 years and have not performed any type of maintenance.
bellcha1983 2 months ago
@bellcha1983 When it needs it,ie when light patches/dry patches appear particulary in areas of most wear, elbows, rear etc.

Hi, can Barbour wax be used to re-wax (or re-proof) a Belstaff wax coated Jacket?
Many thanks!
