Grudt and Zapata did so wrong as judges, showing inequity; other judges did't make any difference, were all plain giving so high scores to all semifinalists

Of these 6, I would have put Greece and Switzerland into the finals over India and Philippeans. I didn't like this years India, and have no idea how she won. India's had much better representatives, 1990 Susan Sablo, 1999 Gul Panag, and of course 2000 Lara Dutta. The Philippeans candidate was pretty but again, not at the level of the others, and better reps in other years.

Yes, this is true. Minorka is one, with a rather common street face at her crowning as Miss Venezuela and is another one at her participation in Miss Universe. Her jaws, chins, lips and nose were dramatically changed. It's a shame. If you look closely when she smiles, her jaws tend to tilt sideways to the right hand side..lol

Same thing happened in 1993 when Cuevas failed to give a score for Miss Venezuela during the top 6 Interview as well as Dennis who failed to give a score for Miss USA, of course, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Colombia still made it to top 3, her score was just averaged to the 5 judges who voted for her, of course eliminating the high and lowest scores...
