Thanks again Deseret First for making it look like Mormons are retarded polygamists. You don't share our values, you just wrongly assume everyone in Utah is Mormon and will have a great laugh at your pathetic attempt to win clients.
The way I understand it he's marrying two new wives and his old wife is pregnant. And since they never mentioned whether the weddings were for his daughters or for his "future wives", then it's open to interpretation. Obviously, this fact has been left out on purpose. Commercial companies screen commercials before airing them, to make sure that they are NO DOUBLE MEANINGS. Polygamy may be "banned" in official papers, but we all know how much the LDS enjoy it...
Please stop insulting other religions! LDS churches do not say bad things about other churches or beliefs. You may not agree with what I believe in as an LDS member but respect that I don't think that because you aren't LDS you are going to hell. And that I can respect you and your religion.
ha that was funny at first it got you thinkinking it was for his plural marriage, but at the end it was for his two daughters getting married at the same time.
Nephi...Alma...Moroni...SUCH RIDICULOUS-SOUNDING CRAP. Joseph Smith did a pretty poor job at making up fake-Jewish names, didn't he? but then again, he had his head in a hat all those hours and probably got tired after a while so he just picked whatever "ancient-esque" names he could pull out of his...hat.
@knowtheonetruegospel He didn't make it up! The Jaredites had steel swords thousands of years before steel was invented! It's a miracle! And what about the part where the Book of Mormon says "Bretheren, Adieu." Don't you know that the ancient Jews spoke French! And a little Spanish and Pig Latin too if I'm not mistaken.
@s You are starkly misinformed if you believe that Smith just rattled off words from a stone he looked through. He didn't literally "see" the words, he had to interpret them through his own vocabulary.
And ha! You automatically assume that when the BoM says 'steel', it means modern steel. No, King Tut was buried with a "steel" dagger. Steel is mentioned in the "Odyssey", getting into the creation of it. The OT mentions steel 4 times, "bows of steel" it says. The BoM steel was created in 900 BC.
@sonsofmosiah The Book of Mormon itself is true, but the title page says there may be faults in translation. The title page of the Book of Mormon says, "And now if there are any faults they are the mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the things of God, that ye may be found spotless at the judgement-seat of Christ."
@knowtheonetruegospel lol Moroni is an Arab name, an Arabian colony in the straights of Madagascar was named Moroni, a thousand years ago. The name "Nephi" was mentioned in Second Book of Maccabees. Alma is of Hebrew and Arabic origin at first, making its way into the world and was adopted in the Latin language, later in the Italian language. In Hebrew it means learned soul, and in Latin it means kind soul.
It just seems like what your spewing is... SUCH RIDICULOUS-SOUNDING CRAP.
The LDS church might not practice polygamy at this time but its FOUNDER AND FIRST PRESIDENT both did. Remind me, how many wives did Joseph Smith have again?
@knowtheonetruegospel are you happy putting the LDs church down? what are planning to achieve by doing this? huh? well u obviously dont "knowtheonetruegospel" or u wouldnt be here being a pain
@FloCowl I'm sorry if it felt like I was "putting you down," that was not my intention. Rather, I will speak out against the lds church, inc. and its fraud of a founder, joseph smith. i will put down the fact that he has mislead so many people who would probably otherwise be christian with his elaborate hoax. i'm sorry if it is a painful reminder to you that the lds church claims to be the "restored" church and yet has numerous revisions to it, including basic doctrine---like POLYGAMY.
@FloCowl Mainly I'm just trying to be a pain in the ass for my own amusement. Yes, I am kind of happy putting the Mormon church down after being oppressed by it for so long.
Unfortunately I am Mormon, but I don't go to my ward anymore...so I really don't have to rejoin. I was just making a statement in general...nothing to do with me. lol. But the missionaries are still just load of crap as well. But thats just my opinion. lol.
who the hell would wanna go to a church that excommunicates their members? thats so full of crap! but i completly agree, polygomy is not what god originnally wanted. it clearly says so in the bible.
@doctorshifty83 we do it only if it is something extreame and sometimes if you take the lessons from the missionaries and speak to a bishop you might be able to rejoin depending on what happened i believe i could be wrong so dont quote me best thing to do if you want to get all the details just right is to go to a local mormon church or find soe mormon missionaries and ask them questions they will give you the right answer
I am not even Mormon and I got it. He has two daughters getting married around the same time (which means they are all grown up) yet he and his wife are still having more children.
'Organization of the LDS Church found in Acts 1:15'
Acts 1:15 has nothing to do with the LDS faith community. The Book of Acts contains the early Acts of the Apostles, who were the early Catholic Church that was instituted by Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:13-18.
'Catholic Communion and the belief in the Holy Eucharist; 1Cr. 11:23'
True. But I would add the next two verses: 1Cor.11:23-25. Also: The Holy Eucharist is perhaps most profoundly described in John 6:47-70, by Jesus Himself.
'But both Church's are fundamentally flawed, which is to be expected when controlled by flawed men. (and all men are)'
HUMANS are flawed; Jesus Christ is not flawed, and neither are His Sacraments. A sinful man (which all men are) may still perfectly confect the Sacraments of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Jesus Christ and His Holy Roman Catholic Church are necessary for salvation (see John 6:54-55).
'True faith in Jesus is what matters, and religion is only there to enhance Faith.'
'Religion' in the Holy Roman Catholic Church is centered around the Sacraments, particularly the Holy Eucharist -- which Jesus Christ Himself said is necessary for one to receive to have everlasting life (John 6:54-55).
Jesus Christ created the Roman Catholic Church (Matthew 16:13-18) -- note in particular the words 'my church'. Only God can create a Church and a religion. We are to do what God Wills for us.
And one more thing...All of you anti Mormons seem to love to tear down the LDS Church, but you never have the answer for which church is true, it seems that you have this urge to tear down something that gives someones life meaning. Why?
'but you never have the answer for which church is true'
Here's the answer: It must be created by God, not by man; It must exist before Calvary; It must offer clean oblations to God; It must have Apostolic Succession from Jesus Christ; It must have Seven Sacraments; It must be One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic; It must be (in 2009), 1,976 years old.
Only one Church has all these things: The Holy Roman Catholic Church. See: Matthew 16:13-19.
You are relying on private interpretation, and therefore you interpret in error.
Saint Paul in 1Timothy4:1-5 speaks of the Gnostics, Marcionites, Eneratites, Manicheans, and other ancient heretics who absolutely condemned marriage and the use of all kind of meat; because they pretended that all flesh was from an evil principle.
The Roman Catholic Church, far from condemning marriage, holds it to be a Holy Sacrament. And meat is not condemned, except in days of fasting and penance.
Try to find "Mormon" or "Latter-Day Saints" in the Holy Bible. Since they are not there, your logic is false.
The word "Catholic" was first used by Saint Ignatius of Antioch, who was a young man during the time of the Apostles and was the second bishop of Antioch following Saint Peter.
Ignatius was immersed in the living traditions of the local church in Antioch, where the believers in Christ were first called Christians (cf. Acts 11:26). He was taught and ordained directly by the apostles.
Well it isn't Mormon, it was Moroni, and he is mentioned in Rev 14:6(The term Mormon is really a slander, Latter Day means these times, and saint is any beilever in Christ.) Why do Catholic priests not marry?
I have a lot of respect for the Catholic faith, but a lot of things make it hard for me to want to follow, Like when they killed protestants for breaking away from the church, why? The Pope actually said, "Kill them all and let God sort them out."
Neither 'Mormon' or 'Moroni' are mentioned in Revelations 14:6. Also I have never heard that the word 'Mormon' is slanderous.
Roman Catholic priests do not marry because Jesus Christ did not marry. It represents self-sacrifice, a withdrawing away from the world, a way to place all of one's focus on Jesus Christ and His Church.
All peoples and religions have committed all possible sins - Mormons included. God made a Church, not a perfect people. God does not call us based on other's sins.
If you don't agree with the LDS Faith, why are you even watching this? Why don't you devote two years going door to door speading the faith like Christ asked us? And calling someone Mormon is incorrect, Latter Day saint means..well, Latter times(these days)and saint is any beilever in the church. The priesthood order of the LDS faith is that of Melchizedek(Heb 7:16-17)
but we could go on forever debating because the scriptures give so many contridictions, like predestination or free will...
I am here to bring you and others to God's Holy Faith - the Roman Catholic Church.
How using the word 'Mormon' is 'incorrect' is beyond me. But if you don't like it, then I won't use it.
The LDS lost the Priestly Order of Melchizedek when they broke from the RCC and its Apostolic Succession. The RCC alone has Jesus' promise that it will never end (the gates of hell will never prevail against it).
The Holy Bible has no contradictions. Ask me whatever
Will all of you anti Moromons shut up. If you don't agree with it, why are you even watching this video? Do you have nothing better to do? The ones who came to my house left in anger or confusion after having the facts pointed out to them.
Unfortunately, they're just kids who don't know the long-term ramifications of what they do. They're spouting the party line without truly knowing the history and doctrine behind it.

In both religions, there are hundreds of things that are each believe in and are found in the bible and are correct.
Organization of the LDS Church found in Acts 1:15
Catholic Communion and the belief in the Holy Eucharist; 1Cr. 11:23
But both Church's are fundamentally flawed, which is to be expected when controlled by flawed men. (and all men are)
True faith in Jesus is what matters, and religion is only there to enhance Faith. If your church doesn't do just that, you should really leave.
